We returned from WDW on the 31st and I wanted to wait to share this untill I had time to write it up.

We went to see Millionaire, my DH stayed outside with our 2 year old and we went in with my parents/sister and BIL. We took our seats and I told everyone that for the fastest finger just enter in a random order as fast as you can. The ? came and I entered mine without even looking. My DD looked at me after and said mommy, I did A what else should I do? So I leaned over and just hit the rest in order. Well.....up pops my DD's seat number as 2nd! My mom looks at me and says KC's 2nd! Well then it turns out the 1st place person was a CM and they start saying something about 2nd being first and it's my 6 year old DD!!!

She jumps right up and heads down the steps! They put her in the hotseat and then proceed to pump it up so she can see the screen, even though she just started reading-lol!!! The host asks her where she's from and with a big smile she responds I'm from NJ and I'm down here on vacation! She asked her if she'd ever been down to WDW before and she says lot's of times(like everyone else has been 5 times by the time they're 6-lol). He then asked her a few more ?? which she casually answered and then giggled. I was LOL along with everyone in the place, still shocked my DD was in the hot seat!

The host then explains to her that she can have someone come down to help her and asks her if she wants that or does she want to do it herself. She actually says I want to do it myself! Everyone LOL and then he said well how about someone comes down anyway, then she says OK, my mom...so off I went!

It was so surreal down there, I really couldn't believe I was there. I stood behind DD and helped her answer even though she had to be the one to actually say all the answers. She fell right into it even saying B, final answer-lol. It was too funny. We phoned a complete stranger who was useless, even the host said so-lol, but we guessed right that one right. We ended up actually getting all the way to the 125,000 question and we were out of life lines so we guessed but we missed it.

DD received the 1000 point hat, 10 collecters pins, laynard and polo shirt, which she got in DH's size. After we left 2 adorable little girls actually asked her for her autograph, it was priceless! She signed 2 autograph books and lots of people came up and congratrulated her, she was so proud!

It was so much fun and something we will remember always!! I just wish we had a tape of it to share with everyone, especially DH who missed the whole thing.

Wow, what fun! that story is priceless. I might have to use your strategy to get in the hot seat!

I love it !! Great story she does better than me ;)

thanks for sharing.

that is so stinkin' cute! See - that's what makes me love Disney so much...adults get just as much a kick out of seeing a kid in the spotlight as anything else!

Congratulations on your hotseat success!
My husband and brother are fiercely competitive and have both been in the hotseat but only made it (and lost there) to the 32000 point level. When I tell them this they might want to borrow your daughter?
Another excellent reason why WDW can be so much fun!

Congratulations to your DD for doing a great job.

I was gonna say did you get it on tape? I don't drag my video cam all over the park either. I think I probably would have yelled, Somebody tape this and see me after the show! That sounds adorable.

That's something she'll remember forever...ahh the magic of disney!!!!!

Congratulations palmtreegirl and daughter! It is so cute when kids get down into the hot seat. That is a memory she'll never forget.

They say no photography and no videotaping. I got in to the hot seat once and I'd much rather have a videotape of it than the pins, hat, or shirt I got. At least a picture would be nice. They take your picture on so many other attractions. Why not this one? I'd even be willing to buy it.

That sounds sooo exciting for your DD....

What a priceless memory! It must've been so neat! :)

What a magical memory for you both! Thanks for sharing it with us.
