:jumping1:Welcome to my 40th birthday report :rotfl2:

Well the celebrations started two days early when the kids at work had a lovely chocolate birthday cake for me.....there was about 32 of us there though so the diet didn't suffer much :lmao:, they all sung happy birthday and gave me a huge 40 badge to wear and a big card that they had all signed. :grouphug: I’m off for a couple of days annual leave now woohoo!

Two of my neighbours popped by last night, one couple [who is actually my brother in laws parents] can’t manage the party on Saturday night as they have a funeral down South to go to  but they handed in a lovely card & a £20 Marks & Spencer gift card....:woohoo: holiday shopping!
Then the other neighbour, who is coming :confused3, dropped by with his present....a £25 gift voucher for a beauty treatment in a lovely hotel spa not far from me.....I think I’m going to book in for a neck, shoulder and back massage the weekend before we fly out to Orlando....I’ve been very lucky so far!

So the day before my birthday has consisted of spring cleaning and washing, :laundy:you just never know who might call in......so better have the house looking good!
DH has been a great help this morning and he’s off now, the soul, to do an eight hour back shift but then that’s him finished for the week too!
DS away to sit an exam poor thing but luckily he’s no more til next Friday! My afternoon will probably consist of ironing! :headache:

The nice postie delivered eight cards this morning....I was really excited :rotfl:another £20 M&S voucher was in there to!

Mum & Dad are calling in tonight with my pressie and then I’m going to get my nails and spray tan done. :beach:
Tomorrow is my actual birthday ....I’ve actually volunteered to take my niece to school for 9am [I’m going to be up early.....well I’m excited :rotfl2:] and then watch my 3 year old nephew for my sister, it’s usually her parents-in-law [see above] who watch him on a Friday so I thought it would be nice to have him as I’m off anyway. We’ve got to go and pick up the cake :cake:for Saturday nights party and then we’ll go for a light lunch somewhere.
My inlaws are calling at 2ish with my pressie and my Best friend is coming by around the same time ....they are all coming to the party but wanted me to have my pressies on the day!:yay: My sister and bro-in-law will pick up my niece at 3.15 after school then come here with more pressies :yay:
Then volcanic ash permitting :rolleyes1my cousin, her DH and DD are due to arrive from Ireland by plane at 4.45pm....DH has booked a table at a local hotel for dinner for us all....mum & dad coming too!

Then Saturday is the party, my niece is coming to cut & colour my hair at 2pm, DS “just good friend:rolleyes1” is coming for tea and then we are heading for the party at 7ish where much alcohol will be consumed:drinking1, lots of dancing will be done :dance3:and the buffet menu sounds pretty good too........I can imagine Sunday is going to be a quiet day lol..........:lmao:

I will try to get this photobucket thing sorted so I can post some pics next week, prob won’t be back on now til at least Sunday [hangover permitting :scared:] Have a Great Weekend Everyone and see you all again when I'm 40 :scared1:!

Seems like I’ve not been here for ages but wow what a busy weekend!!!

Well mum & dad called in the night before birthday, they’d already paid for my party dress and they gave me $80 to spend when we go to WDW!:cool1:

Got my nails and spray tan sorted and crashed into bed around 10pm!

So the day of my 40th birthday dawned and yip I was up EARLY :lmao:

DS had decorated downstairs of the house late the night before unbeknown to my and DH was well impressed with him when he’d got in from work at half eleven. There were banners and streamers and poppers and balloons and Presents!!!

I started by opening my cards first.....the one from my DS made me cry [in fact I still haven’t managed to properly read it without filling up]....good start to the day:rotfl:

DH bought me a beautiful DKNY watch and the 2010 Brits Guide to Orlando and DS bought me a lovely photo frame with space for 5 photos to hang in the recently decorated dining room, he said he thought about filling it with photos of himself hahaha!

I went to the kitchen then to make coffee and the two of them were popping the poppers and singing Happy Birthday and there was a lovely Disney Princess Birthday cake waiting for me, we decided not to have this for breakfast :rolleyes1 but wait and light the candles when my niece [6] and nephew [3] arrived; which we did about 830 when DBinL dropped them off!

I then took my niece to school. After a coffee and a quick play the doorbell rang and there stood a florist with a gorgeous hand tied bouquet of flowers from DH and another arrangement from DS....talk about getting spoilt!

will be back with more later have to go and see to my doggy!

So to carry on the rest of the day.......

Around 10am [wow so much happened so early:lmao:] me, DS and nephew went to pick up the cake for the party, DH said he’d just take the dog for a quick walk; it took us about 20 minutes to get there and I was delighted with the job they had done....just what I’d asked for to match the invitations. Nephew fell asleep in the car on the way back so we drove round for a while stopping off at a couple of shops for me to run in and get some food for a quick lunch when he woke up.

During lunch time my friends from work called in with their pressy....a beautiful personalised calendar from Boots starting from this month with loads of my favourite pictures of family and friends!

My best friend bought me a scrap booking book to make up with memories, a scarf, a photoframe and...... a Disney Traditions ‘Tink’

My best friend’s son had bought me a bracelet which you’d easily think was bought to match the watch that DH had bought me! We had drinks [soft drinks... they had to go to work lol] and cake and then my in laws arrived with two lovely bouquets of flowers, wine, champagne and £50 in a card, oh I nearly forgot....they’d bought me a new hat!

After all of the visitors had left we tidied up a little and before we knew it DBinlaw was back from school after picking up my niece and sister had arrived from work, you guessed it ...more pressys....my sister bought me a gorgeous necklace

.....I’m now convinced that DH, best friends son and my sister have all been out shopping together as everything absolutely matches, well chuffed I was :yay:

My niece and nephew gave me a Disney Traditions ‘Tink’ that I’ve wanted for aaaages I Love It

and a cute teddy bear!

They all stayed for a while and when they left we had about an hour to wait for family flying in [there were no ash disruptions at this point] so we done yet more tidying round, had a wee rest and then got washed and changed ready to go out for a meal as soon as my family had arrived!

We had a great meal, the service was top notch and DH & DS surprised me again with yet another cake:woohoo: This is what he'd been doing this morning when he said he was taking the dog for a walk....he'd went to the bakers and collected the cake and taken it to the hotel:lovestruc
My family arrived safely from Northern Ireland, shame they didn't get to fly home on the Sunday because of that silly ash but luckily they managed to get a ferry back over the Irish Sea :yay: They bought me a lovely necklace & a purse plus 2 bottles of wine, a bottle of champagne & a box of chocolates:hug:

None of the cake went to waste, everything was shared out for people that couldn't make the party!

These are all my presents from my actual birthday day!:dance3:Totally Spoilt....bit like Tink:rotfl:

Will post the party day as soon as I can but I'm waiting for photos to come from my friend, her hobby is photography and she went round the party taking lots of pics and I think she's bringing them to me later today!!! This will be a fantastic pressy :-)
