I have been a fan of Disney since I was a little kid. Now I have passed this trait onto my my 20 months old son. Of course I’ve been brainwashing him since birth, and boy has it worked! He adores all the characters, loves listening to Spectromagic and Illuminations (he even coordinated a dance for the latter), and looks at pictures from previous Disney trips practically every day. It is such a joy to see Disney through his eyes. Here is a recount of his 2nd trip to visit the Mouse.

Cast of Characters:

Me: 29, teacher turned stay at home mom, I love Disney and have visited 16 times. :wave2:
DH: 34, teacher/track coach. Not the biggest Disney fan, but enjoys going for me.:groom:
DS: 20 month old Disney fanatic. Loves all the characters, parade music, and the castle. :earsboy:
Track team: DH traveled with 8 athletes and another coach for Spring Training at the Wide World of Sports. Technically, DS and I were tagalongs on this trip. :rainbow:

Day 1, Sunday: Departure
Before I give any details about our departure day, I must first give a little background from the preceding week. All of our bags were packed 3 days in advance and we were all so excited for the trip. We asked DS, “Where are we going?” and “Who will we see?” to which he answered, “Florida” and “Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Genie, and Pooh.” On Friday afternoon DS had a 102.5 fever and was totally lethargic. I contemplated staying home with him because he seemed so sick. By the way, DS rarely gets sick and hadn’t been sick since September. On Saturday he awoke with 103.5 fever. I made an appointment with the doctor and everything was fine. By some miracle his fever broke early in the day and he was back to himself by the afternoon. Still, I was stressed about him flying due to all of the germs. But everything worked out fine. :thumbsup2
We left our house at 8:15 AM for the airport. DS was dressed in his Mickey t-shirt, Mickey jacket, and Mickey shoes. Here he is with his Disney pals before leaving the house:

Our flight departed on time and was very smooth. It was at DS’s nap time so I thought he’d sleep for most of the flight. DS had other plans and was a little crazy on the flight. :hyper: I had to feed him snacks the whole time to keep him occupied. Another thing that kept his attention was a foam puzzle of Disney Princesses that I bought at the Dollar Store. When we arrived in Orlando we walked all over the airport to catch the Disney Magical Express bus. We walked from Terminal A to B and had to go down elevators, then back up, then back down. It was quite confusing. The Magic Express was really good, although we picked up our own luggage. I heard too many stories of luggage arriving hours later and I didn’t want to take any chances.
We arrived at the Caribbean Beach Hotel at 3 PM for check-in. Since we were a large group it took a long time. DS had fun running around the lobby. The hotel was nice, but we have always stayed at deluxe hotels in the past. The reason for the CB was a discounted rate through the Wide World of Sports. We stayed in Barbados #14. The hotel was fine for our needs, but I wouldn’t stay there again. The hotel is enormous and too spread out It was a 5 minute walk just to get to the food court. I was also bummed that the main pool was under construction. :sad1: I probably would have liked the hotel better if I’d experienced the pool.
DS had been awake since 6:30 AM so I really wanted him to take a nap so we could enjoy the evening. Luckily he took a short nap that refreshed him for our night at Downtown Disney. Before leaving, we ate dinner in the Food Court. The Food Court was adequate, although I wish they had some healthier options. DS and I shared salmon and veggies. Most people in our party ate pizza, hamburgers, and chicken fingers. After dinner we headed to the bus stop and waited 25 minutes for a bus to Downtown Disney. DS played with stickers he received during dinner and had a blast putting them on my jacket and taking them off.

Downtown Disney was very crowded so we didn’t stay very long. DS enjoyed the lego creations and the character statues outside the World of Disney store. We really wanted ice cream from Ghiradelli but the line was out the door and almost to the water. Instead we walked to Haagen Daz and waited on a much shorter line for ice cream. I have never eaten Haagen Daz and boy was it delicious. I can’t believe I missed out on it all these years. I shared my sundae with DS and he was in heaven. He kept saying, “more ice” and I couldn’t shovel it in his mouth fast enough. When we’re at home DS eats hardly any junk food so you can imagine how good this tasted for him. After our treat we caught a bus back to the hotel and went to bed at around 10. Here we are on our way back to the hotel:

Stay tuned for our day at the MK and Epcot.:mickeyjum

Can't wait to hear more! I too have brainwashed my daughter with Disney and she loves it. Watching WDW through a child's eyes is just incredible!!

DS awoke at 7:15 with tired, puffy eyes. He was extremely cheerful and played with the Mickey shampoo and soap while we got ready. We caught the 8:20 bus for MK (it pulled up right as we arrived at the bus stop) and DH went to Wide World of Sports with the team. There was hardly anyone at MK. DS loved the pre-show before we entered the park. He was singing, clapping, and saying the characters names. Good thing I was wearing sunglasses because I became teary eyed watching his reaction. It was quite emotional for me. At least I know I’ve done a good job preparing him for the Disney experience.:flower1:
We entered the park and went straight to Fantasyland. DS screamed, “castle” and even said, "Walt" when he saw the statue in front of the castle (he knows this from pictures from our last trip). We made our way to The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. DS was quiet during the ride, but as soon as we exited he began bouncing like Tigger. :tigger: It was really funny. Next we visited Ariel to get her autograph. DS was looking for Sebastian and wasn’t too thrilled with Ariel. We made our way to Peter Pan and Small World. DS loved the clock and windmills in Small World. I think we rode this ride 5 times during our stay. We checked out the Enchanted Tiki Room also (no big deal). We saw Captain Hook and Mr. Smee in Adventureland as well. DS loved both characters and laughed the whole time.
47b8dc03b3127cceb5297453d46300000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

I made sure that we saw Woody’s Cowboy Camp because it was a big hit on our last trip. DS loved the music and kept dancing and clapping. We waited about 5 minutes after the show to meet Woody and Jessie. DS kept giving them air hugs and laughing. He also decided to sit on the ground and instructed Jessie to do the same. It was too funny!
47b8dc03b3127cceb52974a1d49100000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

I decided to let DS run around a little bit so we stopped at Pooh’s Playful Spot. DS ran over the fountain and got a huge spray in his face. He found this very funny and continued to run to all of the fountains.

After changing DS into dry clothes we headed back to our hotel for a nap. I fed DS lunch while we waited for the bus and put him down for a nap by 12:30. He awoke at 3:30 and we left for Epcot to meet DH and the track kids. The bus was pulling up just as I got to the parking lot so I ran to catch it. When we arrived at Epcot it was raining a little bit. We went on Spaceship Earth with DH and his gang. The new ending is really cute where they show you your future with a picture of yourself. Next we visited The Living Seas to see Nemo. DS loves Nemo and Dorey so he enjoyed this ride. We took some pictures with a shark and Nemo himself.
47b8dc03b3127cceb529756e15f600000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
We ate dinner at the Sunshine Food Fair. We opted for Asian food and I was not too happy (if you can’t tell already, I’m kind of a picky eater). The veggies were good, but the chicken was so chewy and frankly, gross. When we left dinner it was pouring rain. Thankfully I covered the stroller with the rain cover. DS did not like being under it though. I donned my yellow Mickey poncho and was ready to see World Showcase. First we went to Mexico to ride El Rio del Tiempo. DS said hi to Donald and the birds the entire time. DH walked around the market area while DS and I stopped at the Kidcot station. Here is DS proudly waving his mask:
47b8dc03b3127cceb529750c159400000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
Overall, World Showcase was boring for DS. It also didn’t help that it was raining. DH went with his track kids to Soarin and DS and I walked to the Beach Club. DH and I stayed there on our honeymoon and 3 times more. I feel nostalgic walking around there.:) Of course we stopped at Beaches and Cream and ordered an ice cream sundae. It was good, but paled in comparison to the Haagen Daz from last night. We finished the entire thing though. We returned to Epcot and met up with DH to watch Illuminations. DS loves to listen to this CD at home and has a little dance for it. When the music started he had a huge smile on his face and started to do his dance. He also enjoyed the fireworks and kept saying, “boom, boom.” pixiedust: We left just before the end to beat the crowd, and returned to the room at around 10. Another great day at WDW!:yay:

We returned yesterday from our son's 2nd trip as well. He had an awesome time. Your DS is adorable and I glad to hear he is a good pupil in the teachings of Disney!:thumbsup2

Day 3: Magic Kingdom

I'm glad some people are reading my TR. I always get nervous that no one will read it!
Tinkeriffic I hope you write a trippie so I can read about your son's trip. it's so much fun going with the little ones.

And now for our marathon day at the MK:

I woke up at 6:30 to go for a run (I did this every day!). Caribbean Beach has a really nice running trail around the lake. It was quite chilly that morning so I knew we wouldn’t be wearing shorts and t-shirts. I hate going to Florida when it’s not 80 degrees every day! :sad1: Oh well, at least it was much warmer than New York. I had to wake DS at 7:45 so that we could be ready for the bus. He woke up again with very puffy eyes. My poor little guy was so tired! We arrived at MK by 8:45, this time with DH. DS waved to the characters during the pre-show and was so excited when he first heard the music. DH accompanied his track kids on the thrill rides while DS and I toured Fantasyland again. My plan was to hit Dumbo first because the line gets so long so fast. DS had another idea when he saw Cinderella’s Carousel and kept saying, “horse, horse” so I couldn’t deny him the ride. Then he decided he wanted to ride Dumbo, but the wait was over 20 minutes. I knew he wouldn’t stay put that long so I tricked him with the free standing Dumbo outside the ride. In his world, he rode Dumbo and was very happy! :yay:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52975b0152800000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

Our next ride was Snow White which I was a little apprehensive about riding. I remember it being a little scary as a kid. DS liked it so I didn’t have to worry much. Next we went on Pooh and DS was so excited. It’s a toss up between Pooh and Small World for his favorite ride. He did his Tigger dance when we finished and wanted to ride again. :tigger: We were meeting DS in Toontown Fair so Pooh had to wait. We visited Mickey’s house first. DS could not contain his excitement when we were in the room with Mickey. He calls him “Nee” and kept saying it over and over while jumping up and down. I had to hold him back because he kept trying to run to Mickey. Once I let him loose he ran to Mickey and gave him a huge hug. It was priceless! We got great pictures of him hugging and sitting with Mickey, but DH used the video mode in the camera so I can’t post it here.:mickeyjum DS had a similar reaction to most characters and I have great pictures of those. We went to the Judge’s Tent to see Goofy, Pluto, and Donald. I also wanted to see the princesses, but the wait was 1 hour at 10 AM (right when Toontown opens). I guess you have to stake a spot early to see them. DS screamed for all of the characters, and again, I had to prevent him from running. Here are some of the pictures:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52975b3941b00000025130QaMmrhq1aMX

This one is my favorite:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8adb357000000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

We waited on a long line to see Minnie and DS was getting cranky. He cheered up as soon as he saw her though.
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8a6f35c400000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

We left Toontown and DH and headed to Buzz Lightyear. This is one of my favorite rides in Disney. It’s so much fun! DS tried to imitate Buzz and say, “To infinity and beyond” but he had a hard time with that. It came out more like, “To ddddd” with the hand gesture. Still very cute. He loved the ride and kept saying, “shoot, shoot.” It was quite hard to shoot and hold him at the same time. Of course he wanted more when we were finished. We walked through the park and it was super crowded. Even Small World had a 30 minute wait and it was only 11 AM. We walked through Adventureland to the Baby Care Center for a diaper change. DS had so much fun running from the doors of the Baby Care Center and the First Aid Station. He spent 10 minutes going back and forth. Here he is taking a short break to pose for a picture:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8a5935f200000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
We waved goodbye to the castle and headed for the bus stop. We waited about 20 minutes so DS ran between the garbage cans. It’s amazing what amuses kids!
DS took a short nap today, but it was too chilly for the pool. When I say chilly, it was 62 degrees, cloudy, and breezy. Instead of the pool we visited the beach at Jamaica. We spent an hour and half playing in the sand, playground, and hammock. DS met some older girls who played with him (and taught him how to throw sand in the water…what fun!!!). Here he is hanging out at the beach:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8a3cb4a700000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
You can imagine how sandy DS was so we went straight to the bath before dinner. We ate dinner in the food court again. Tonight I opted for turkey and veggies. The turkey was dry, but the veggies were good.
We departed for MK and it was really crowded. It was just me and the little guy alone. I never thought I’d say this, but I enjoyed touring the parks alone with DS. I guess it’s because we’re the real Disney lovers and DH just goes along for the ride (although he likes to complain a lot along the way!). DS recognized the statue of Roy Disney and Minnie from our pictures. He said, “Roy” before I noticed where we were standing. We walked through Fantasyland and it was mobbed. I decided to go to the least crowded ride in the entire park, Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I find the ride very relaxing. DS enjoyed it as well, especially the stars in Space Mountain. I didn’t feel like waiting on any lines so we went to the play area in Toontown. DS ran around for awhile and had fun. We killed about 45 minutes walking and doing these activities. Next we went to Main Street to stake out a spot for the parade. The parade started at 9 PM so we got to Main St. at about 8:05. We found a spot in front of the camera shop without a problem. The cast members had a lot of activities to keep the little ones occupied. DS played with a hula hoop that was bigger than him. At least it kept him occupied:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8a0735ac00000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
I also bought some glow in the dark bracelets from the Dollar Store at home. It’s much better than spending $15 on a light up toy at the parks. For now it suits DS, but who knows what will happen as he gets older. At about 8:30 I got a call from DH saying that he was coming with two track kids to meet us at the parade. I was really glad that he would be able to see DS’s reaction to the parade. Originally he was supposed to stay at the hotel with the kids but somehow he convinced two of them to come to the park. I left DS with DH and went to the confectionary for some dessert. I bought a packaged cookie and Mickey rice krispie treat because the line was so long. I shared the rice krispie treat with DS and he was in heaven. It was probably the 4th time in his 20 months that he’s eaten a treat that’s not organic. Since we returned home he keeps asking for cookies and ice cream every night!
Spectromagic was amazing as always. DS was mesmorized by the music and the lights. As soon as the music started he yelled, “parade!” and was so excited. Brainwashing really pays off! The highlight of the parade was when Snow White came over to DS and gave him a huge kiss. He still talks about it every day. Thankfully we caught the moment on video. Here is a picture of DS after the kiss:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8a0335a800000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
Another funny thing that happened during the parade was that the Big Bad Wolf ran up to our camera. DS laughed hysterically and the teenage track boys were scared. We left immediately after the parade and caught a bus rather quickly. DS went to bed at about 10:30, shortly followed by me. Although I love Disney, it’s so exhausting! :goodvibes

Love your TR so far! Your son is adorable! My DD will be 20 months old on March 4th. I'll have to show her your pics tomorrow.

Your pics are wonderful - thank you for sharing all of your memories. :wizard:

WDWBetsy: Our little one's are exactly a month apart. How funny! Your DD is going to love her trip.

Here is our day at the MK and MGM:
DS woke up at 6:30 and was very tired. We ate quick breakfast in the room, got dressed, and walked to the food court so I could get some tea. I forgot to mention earlier that we ordered all breakfast foods and snacks from Gardengrocer.com. They had a huge selection and delivered everything when we arrived. I highly recommend it if you want to save money on food or just want the convenience of having a quick bite. :thumbsup2 DS entertained himself with a basket of crayons in the kid area while I drank my tea. We caught an 8:20 bus to MK (just me and DS). This TR is probably so redundant because we went to MK almost every day! I enjoyed seeing the park at such a leisurely pace. And DS loved every second he was there (I did too for that matter!):) Today he rode Pooh, Peter Pan, and Small World. He saw Tigger and Pooh also.:tigger: I lined up at 9:55 before the characters arrived so we had no wait. Tigger came and sat down right next to DS. Here are some pics:

(DS ran up to Pooh for this shot).
After seeing his friends we spent some time in Pooh’s Playful Spot. I like this spot and the one in Toontown so DS can run around and get a break from the stroller.
Next we went to Main St. to meet my mom and two aunts.:grouphug: They drove up from Bonita Springs to spend a day with us. They arrived as DS was getting autographs from Clarabel Cow and Horace. Nobody in line knew who they were, but there was still a long line. I think they’re from the original Mickey Mouse movies. I just wanted DS to have their autographs in his book. Here’s a pic:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8abeb42500000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

DS was so excited to see his Nana and aunts. We walked to Frontierland to see Woody’s Cowboy Camp again. I knew my family didn’t have much time with DS so I wanted them to see him react to characters. He did all of his dancing, clapping, and calling names. I was picked to be a part of the show as the rattlesnake. I really don’t like attention being called to me, but I figured no one was looking at me because they were probably watching their children’s reaction to the show. I still hated standing there with the silly hat on my head:eek: :
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8a93353800000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

We left the park shortly after the show because DS was getting cranky. DM and aunts headed to Epcot for lunch. Poor DS was so tired he fell asleep on the bus at noon. I was a little concerned about how I would get him, the diaper bag, and the stroller off the bus. Thankfully, DH was waiting for us at the bus stop to help. I took a nap with DS while DH and his track kids went to Hollywood Studios. DS woke extremely cranky at 3 PM. It took us quite awhile to get out the door, but we finally arrived at HS (I keep writing MGM!) at 4:30. DS was excited once he saw the big hat. We were meeting my family and DH for dinner at 5:30, but no one was available when we arrived. DS and I went to Playhouse Disney. The new show is really cute. DS loved all of the characters and danced the entire show. :yay: After the show we met Handy Manny. Although it doesn’t look like it, DS really liked him:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8a90b40b00000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
I finally met up with everyone and we went to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set. I remember running around there when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure I remember a giant Cheerio, but I couldn’t seem to find it. It was really crowded so we didn’t stay too long. We walked the Streets of America and stopped for some pictures along the way:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8b6af46900000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
We arrived at Mama Melrose’s and were seated right away. I dressed DS in jeans, a Mickey vest, and spiked his hair for the occasion. The food at Mama Melrose’s seems to get worse over time. We come here almost every trip and always say we’re not going back. DS ate an entire kids meal (they offer very healthy options with all 5 food groups) while the rest of us ate flatbreads. Mine was good (4 cheese), but the others didn’t care for the sauce on the pizza. DM ordered a pizza with pesto that was also good. DH left us once again so my family and I walked around the park a bit. It was a chilly night and DM and aunts didn’t bring long pants. My one aunt decide to buy 2 blankets to keep warm during Fantasmic. They were $33 each, but so soft and cuddly. She gave one to DS as a souveneir. :cool1: My family decided to go on the Great Movie Ride so I went with DS to The Voyage of the Little Mermaid. He liked Ariel and was mesmerized by the entire show. I met up with my party at the Sorcerer’s Hat. I love how MGM is small and you can easily find your party. We walked to the Fantasmic theater, stopping for some ice cream along the way. I’m not sure if DS liked the show or not. He was dancing and watching intently, but then he would close his eyes, suck his thumb, and say, “all done.” We left about halfway through because DS said, “Mommy ears” which I interpreted as it being too noisy. They really crank the music up for this show. As we were leaving we saw the beginnings of the lunar eclipse. It was very cool. I drove back to the hotel with my family. They checked into the Caribbean Beach and were given a room right near ours. DS went to bed at 10 while I wrote my trip notes and packed the bag for the next day. Another magical day at WDW! :wizard:

Day 5:
I woke up before dawn to go for a run. The weather was warm and humid, even at such an early hour. Finally, my kind of weather! :woohoo: DS was awake when I returned from my run. We visited my mom and aunts in their room before our 8:15 departure for AK. DH and the track team actually came to the park with us, but we were ditched immediately so they could ride Expedition Everest. At least I had some company for the bus ride and help with the stroller. DS was really cranky and wanted to eat the entire time he was in the stroller. I got fast passes for Kilamanjaro Safari for everyone in our party (16 people!). DS and I walked through the jungle trek and saw a gorilla and some meerkat. It wasn’t too exciting. We took the first train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. DS loved seeing pictures of “Fiki.” We went to Affection Station and DS chased around the goats and sheep.
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8b30f43300000026100QaMmrhq1aMX

There wasn’t much for him to do in Conservation Station but we took a quick look at it. It’s really quite interesting if you have older children that like animals. They were performing surgery on a turtle and taking questions. The characters were supposed to come out at 10, but we waited until 10:20 and they didn’t show. It would have been Rafiki, Jiminy Cricket, and/or Pocahontas. DS would have loved it, but we had to get back to deliver our fast passes.
We met up with the others for the safari ride at 10:45. DS was SUPER cranky and actually fell asleep on the ride, bumps and all. He was out cold.
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8b2af42900000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
I guess all of the late nights finally caught up with him. After the ride I transferred DS to the stroller and headed to the bus. I was disappointed because we didn’t get to see the Festival of the Lion King. :sad2: DS loved it on our last trip. Good thing we’re going back in a few months so we can see it. DS stayed sleeping while I took him out of the stroller to get on the bus. I was so glad for that. He slept from 11 until 2:30. He really needed it. When he woke up we put our bathing suits on and headed to the beach. DS played in the sand and water before we swam in the pool. Our time in the sun was short because we had a 5:30 reservation at Chef Mickey’s. We took a 4:45 bus to MK and then walked to the CR. It started raining during our walk but we were ready with our Mickey ponchos. Chef Mickey’s is my all time favorite restaurant in WDW (actually it’s a tie with California Grill). :yay: I just love the atmosphere and the food is really fun. On our last visit here DS had so much fun. When we arrived home we continued to wave our napkins in the air during dinner, and DS automatically waves his hand in the air when you say Chef Mickey’s. Needless to say, he was ready for the dinner. Our party was really big (16 people) so we took the group photos in sessions. Here is the picture of my family (I am aware that DS is wearing stripes and plaids together…lol).:rotfl:
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8b16f41500000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
DS was happy to see the characters, but didn’t have the reaction I expected. He seemed more interested in his food than the characters. I think he thought the characters wanted his food. Although he is a peanut, he is very serious about his food. We ate really well at CM’s. The sundae bar is my favorite! I make several trips there and load my sundae with toppings and also bring back cookies too. Here are a few pictures illustrating DS’s disinterest in the characters (note the food in his hand in every picture)

After our yummy meal we took the monorail the the MK. DH spent time with us on this night so we went on DS’s favorite rides. First, we got a FP for the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and then we went on Small World. DS couldn’t get enough of the clock and windmill. Next we went to Toontown and visited Donald’s Boat. Not terribly exciting, but DS got a kick out of it. We went to ride Pooh and DS loved it again. DH left us to ride Space Mountain with his team so DS and I walked around the park. It was quite crowded so I just pointed out everything we were seeing as we walked. DS was content in his stroller. We walked back to Main St. to find a spot for Spectromagic. Since it was our second viewing we didn’t get a front row seat. DH bought a light up Mickey sword for DS which kept him occupied while we waited. It was a big hit.
47b8dc03b3127cceb52a8bdcf4df00000026100QaMmrhq1aMX
Before the parade started, the track team presented DH and I with thank you presents for the trip: a Grumpy mug for DH and a Tinkerbell mug for me. My mug says, “Bright eyed and cheery” while DH’s mug has all grumpy sayings. It was really funny. When the music started for the parade DS became so excited. I held him by a garbage can so he could have a nice view. He talked about his previous kiss from Snow White. He pointed out every character in the parade and had so much fun. Moments like these make spending lots of money on Disney worth it. We walked through the stores after the parade to waste time before Wishes. It didn’t start until 10 and I was hoping DS could stay awake and happy. Everything worked out well and DS loved the fireworks and music. He wanted more when it was over. We had a long wait for the bus and DS fell asleep at 10:45. What a trooper!

I set my cell phone to wake me at 6:30 so I could run. I was so tired, but somehow dragged myself from bed and ran 5 miles (I know I’m crazy). :) DS woke shortly after I left and ate breakfast with DH. I packed before DH left for the track. We didn’t have to leave the hotel until 12:30 so I had to be creative about what we would do with our time. We walked to the food court so I could get some tea. DS discovered a booth with temporary tattoos and amused himself for 20 minutes. He ran around pointing and naming all of the characters. Since it was only 8 AM it wasn’t open for business. I figured I’d come back later and get DS his souvenir for the trip. Next we went to the beach, playground, and pool. Wouldn’t you know that the weather was sunny and warm on the day we were leaving! It reached 85 that day. After playing in the pool we headed back to the room to shower. We returned to the food court where I got DS his cool Mickey tattoo. It really was a rip off at $5, but it brought such joy to his face. It is still in perfect condition and it’s been almost 2 weeks. Here he is showing off his new tattoo:

DS was really tired and fell asleep in the stroller at 11. We departed via the Magical Express and checked in for our flight. DS woke up when I brought him on the bus, but he was happy. This was the day of the snowstorm in N.Y. so we figured our plane would be delayed. Luckily it wasn’t. We ate lunch in the airport and had a smooth flight home. DS got his own seat and actually took another nap on the plane. Here he is reading in his own seat:

We returned home and starting planning our next trip in June (it’s for my 30th birthday…DH really comes through for me!).:yay: Final thoughts: WDW is wonderful no matter how you see it. Although I'm used to going deluxe and eating in sit down restaurants every night, it was a nice change staying at a mod and eating at counter services. For our June trip we're trying a new place and a few new restaurants. Thanks for reading and I wish you many happy returns to WDW!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 great trip report-- I really enjoyed it! My son will be 23mths on his 1st trip this year---It's going to be both my kids (my dd is 6) 1st trip I can't wait to see it thru their eyes.
