My 1st Trip Report-Eastern DCL 9/15/07-9/22/07- lots of pics!!

Cast and background:
Me (Nikki)- 34yo Disney nut, been on several cruises not Disney
DH (Steve)- 31yo tolerates my Disney addiction, likes vacations and family.
DD (Jordan)- turned 5 the week before DCL at WDW- thinks she is a Pirate/Princess
DN (Jaden)- almost 7yo nephew, never been to WDW, never been on a plane, and never been on a cruise

I had been planning this for a year, and finally the "trip of a lifetime", was here.
We stayed at POP Century the week before the cruise, had an exhausting but great trip, Steve was done, though, just wanted to go home, I told him he could relax on the cruise (because we didn't in WDW), and he did get to do just that.
1st Day
We arrived for check in around 1:15 (I wanted to be there earlier- did I mention my DH was grumpy that morning LOL) Anyway, we boarded and went straight to our cabin, we were in 2644 (cat 9). Here is Steve relaxing already.

Here are the kids with their baskets from the Perfect Gift- they were awesome!!!

We went up to have lunch at Topsiders (I think), then on to the Oceaneer's Club to look around.

Then we went to the Mickey pool, the kids got in the pool, I headed over to Pluto's for a Dis Meet.

We then went to the Lifeboat drill in AP, my DH fell asleep, and the kids were playing, I'm glad I listened!!

We had early dining PLA rotation- which was great, we have requested it already on our next cruise. Some dinner pics, my DD is a ham!!

After dinner with Minnie, one of my favorite pics from the whole 2 week trip.

We then did some exploring and went to bed, we were exhausted and all slept so good!! That bed felt alot better then the double bed at POP Century the night before. More to come.

2nd and 3rd Days
We woke up a little late, so we went to Topsiders for breakfast, they had everything we could want. My picky DD who barely eats anything even ate a big breakfast.

We did some more exploring of the ship, including seeing some characters and the kids going down the Mickey slide.

Soon it was time to get ready for dinner, it was formal night, so we all were dressed and coordinated!! I am such a planner!! LOL We really enjoyed formal night at Lumiere's, it seemed more "dressy" than the other restaurants. After dinner we headed over to see The Golden Mickey's, Goofy was taking pictures in his formal wear, and we were the last in the line, so the character attendent was talking to us, she said do the kids want to be in the show. They were so excited, of course YES!!! So they got to be in the part with Snow White, some pics below.

It was so cute, afterwards we went to Studio Sea for a Golden Mickey's dance party. Minnie came out to dance with everybody.

BTW, the show was great!! After the party we went to bed, it was late. The next morning, we slept in again, did I mention the beds were so comfortable, we ate breakfast at Topsiders again, this time out on deck. The kids swm this time in the Goofy pool, and we all got in the hot tub. We had Tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter. That was cute, my DD liked pouring tea, and serving the cookies.

They have a photo op at the end of the tea. The Mad Hatter was so funny.

The kids went to a Luau with Lilo and Stitch in the kids club, so Steve and I walked around the ship, it really is so pretty. We went and saw Minnie up on deck, and time flies, because it's time to get ready for dinner, Animators Palate that night. Here's Mickey at the parade in the restaurant.

That night my DD got a fever of about 103, so we had to go to the infirmary, and they told us what medicines to give her, we missed Twice Charmed, and just hung in the room, the next morning my DD was fine , we don't know what was wrong, just glad she was better. St. Maarten day ahead.

3rd Day
We arrive in St. Maarten on Tuesday, we ate breakfast at Topsiders again, we never did make it to the dining room for breakfast or lunch. , we didn't have any excursions planned. I had done some research, here on the boards, and we were going to take a taxi to Little Divi Bay beach, we got off the ship, got a taxi, and went over to the beach. It was so pretty, and there was no one there but 2 families. The waves rolled in slow, and the sand was nice and soft, we had a great time there. We stayed from about 10:30 until about 1:30.

We headed back to the ship, just as it started raining a little, we changed and went to look for characters, boy did we find them.

After all of the character meets, it's time to get ready for Pirate Night, and to see more characters!!! We love them, can you tell??

We had a great dinner at Parrot Cay that night, the food was awesome, and our waiters Simeon and David were so great.

After dinner, it's time to get the party started!! We had so much fun and a front row seat, to the stage!!

We were tired after that long day, we were asleep in about 5 minutes. Next up, St. Thomas.

Thanks! I took over 2200 pictures in the weeks we were on vacation, plus alot of pics bought on the cruise, and over 300 on photopass at WDW. Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with pictures.
