I have never done one of these pre-trip reports but since I am starting to get really excited and was hoping to get some support from fellow solo travelers. I have never traveled solo to Disney before but have thought about it. I have been running this past year and am doing my 2nd 1/2 marathon in October. I decided that I was just going to go for it and sign up for the Donald Half Marathon 2013.

The Details-
-Dates Jan 10-14th.
-Buying a 5 day MYW pass no dining plan.
-Already paid my entry into the half marathon and have booked airfare. Southwest nonstop flights from Columbus, OH to Orlando, FL roundtrip at $259.
-Still have to book a value resort for the stay I'm thinking Pop I normally stay in ASMo and wanted a change of pace.

This me Ash, I am 25 and am a Medical Laboratory Scientist here in Columbus.
I like dorky things, such as obsessively over planning, and science fiction and action movies. I also like to eat healthy and work out.

This might turn into a part-solo trip if I can get my twin sister to go with me, she wants to she just doesn't have a lot of money. I am hoping they pull it together because then I will get the weekend with her which would be awesome but solo the whole time is fine with me.

Good luck Ashleigh! :-) I have never done a solo trip before but would love to. A girls trip we are planning for the end of January/beginning of February almost turned into one (in that I finally decided I was going even if no one else did) but others have jumped on board too. I have done one solo day while visiting with family back in 2000. I ended up going to Epcot on my own and it was a blast. :-) I got to do what "I" wanted to do for a change, even just sit for a while and people watch.

Best of luck on the marathon and I hope your sis gets to go too!
