My 12YO DS has a question

Since your kid is a kid, I'll tell you the rides <i>my</i> kids think are useless.
They would agree about test track - they think it is about as exciting as a ride on the interstate. They also do not like Kali River Rapids (the one at AK, whatever it's called.) My daughter said you might as well just stand on the sidewalk and have people throw buckets of water on you!
They would stand in line without fast pass for RnR roller coaster and tower of terror. They also love the Dinosaur ride at AK and all the mountains at the MK!

My 13 DS would probably say Voyage of the Little Mermaid (MGM) and all of Fantsyland.
You might want to have your DS post the question over at the teen board.
Are you planning a day at DQ for him? DS loves DQ. We were jsut talking about how much money he does (and could) waste at the local places like Dave and Busters or US play since you must pay for each game. A game lover like my DS certainly gets his moneys worth out of going to DQ

A big up for Disney Quest
I was also going to suggest DQ since you mentioned Pizza Planet and how much money you waste there. At DQ you pay one price to get in and you can play all the games for as long as you want. It really is a good deal when you add it up.
