MVMCP Tix Savings -- SOG Sells With No Tax!

This may be the only way to save money on the MVMCP tix. If you qualify for Shades of Green, you can call and order them over the phone -- 407-824-1403. You don't have to pay tax, and they will keep them for you to pick up.

Better buy quick before someone figures this one out. I am pretty sure FL law requires the collection of sales tax on tickets.

Yes, but since Shades of Green is military, they may not have to charge tax...

That's correct! No tax is charged at military facilities.

Yes, but.... if you read the FL sales tax laws... the tickets MAY not qualify. (Please NOTE: I am NOT claiming to be an expert on Sales Tax Law, I do know the TN Tax Law and the tickets would not qualify here) Do they charge tax on their regualar tickets? If not, then I would assume the exemption is pretty solid, if they do RUN for the tickets now. LOL!


In theory tickets sold to me at the Disney store in TN should be tax free and then I should have to pay sales and use tax when I actually get to Disney, but.... Disney has worked around that by charging me FL tax here.

SOG doesn't charge tax on regular tickets. Got our APs there last June, but we bought our MVMCP tickets before we found out that SOG sold those tickets too.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like they have a "loophole" in the FL tax law.

In TN and in FL there are some very strange laws since we have no income tax.... so Sales tax is vital. For example if you are stationed at Fort Cambbell in TN you can buy a car tax free, but not if you are at any other base in TN (for example, the Navy base in Millington, TN) It is just crazy!
