MVMCP tix and FP+

Quick question that I'm sure has been answered before: I have a MVMCP ticket. I plan on arriving at 4pm. I booked fastpasses that begin at that time. If I use the hard ticket to get in will I be able to use that ticket to use the FP too or will I have to use my MagicBand? If I use my MB to use the FP will it take a day off my ticket? What if we accidentally use our MBs to get in at 4? All tix are linked in MDE. Any help would be appreciated!
