asking waaayyyyyyyy in advance while it it still fresh in your minds!

My DD loves characters. We have not been to a Disney party since she was 4! So next year we may try to go to MVMCP. My daughter wants to see Genie (not a big problem, I think), Jack Sparrow, Jack Skelington and the dwarves.

Did anyone manage this and could suggest what to do when so we can still enjoy the party a bit? Planning on doing three fastpass rides before the party and maybe one or two during...

Thanks!

I haven't been to MVMCP in almost 10 years, and we did not try to meet them, but if you want to meet the dwarfs, I've read here on the DIS that you need to camp out well in advance of the party starting.

No fastpasses during party. Dwarves and Skellington will be long waits, get in line for one before party starts.

We went November 2015 and saw the dwarves, but not Skellington. I got in line for the dwarves between 5 and 5:30 and I was already about 30th in line at that point. The dwarves came out pretty promptly at 7:00 and they kept the line moving fairly quickly. We saw Jack Sparrow later in the night and only waited about 20 minutes or so. We also managed to meet a few other characters, watch the parade and ride some rides. The key was definitely getting in line plenty early for the dwarves. I know Skellington had a crazy long wait also so I'm not sure how much extra time you'll have if you try to do him as well.

Read reviews after a couple of parties to try to see hoe dwarfs line behaves. I would do Jack S. before the party begins and dwarfs later on. This year their line dropped off considerably after like 8:30. YMMV.

skellington takes hours to see.. I think my daughter was told 2 and it took almost 2 hours last year. she went in line before the parade and got out in time for fireworks

Fast passes are available up until about 630pm, One party we did see dwarfs after lining up early, another party we saw Jack Skelington after about 40 minutes by getting in line 20 minutes prior to the fireworks. The kids could see the fireworks through the trees but we had watched the fireworks from the contemporary already and they would have preferred to meet Jack
