MVMCP question

I posted this question in the middle of another thread and now I can't remember where and I can't find it. LOL.

I have never been to MVMCP and am hoping to get tickets for 12/17.

Can anyone tell me about the family picture. Where is it set up? Can you get it in more than one place? Is it a picture or a button (I thought I read somewhere that it was a family button type pin)?

Also where do they set up Cookies and Hot Chocolate?

What is the snow really like? Can you have snow ball fights? Do the kids get to play in the snow?

Besides these 3 things, is there anything else that is special about this night other than the parades and shows? Any other 'little' things that I need to make sure we get to do?

Also I have heard that they move all the people into Tomorrowland. When do they do that? What happens if you have PS for LTT? Do you go to Tomorrowland and then leave for your PS?

What time do they let you out of Tomorrowland? Is it at 7:00 p.m when it offically starts? If so, are you closer to what's happening here than you would be if you were just entering the park?

Can you tell I have a few questions???????

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Okay, let's see.....
We got our family picture taken at the Hall of President's area. It is a regular 5x7 type photo that they send to you in the mail.
The button is a pin type button that most likely changes from year to year.
Cocoa and cookies are set up in different stations in the park. We never got in the horrendous lines for them tho.
Then snow is not 'snow ballable'. It gently drifts down on you. Quite pretty. But it doesn't pile up anywhere.
We had 5:45 PS at LTT last year. We finished eating at about 6:45 and lucked out. We just crossed the street, had our photos done and ambled on up to Splash Mt. and BTMRR. If you are in the park, without a PS, I believe that they do herd you over to Tomorrowland.
I wouldn't stress out too much as to where you'll be at the start of the party. The attractions in Tomorrowland are open so you can do them while you wait, I believe. We loved Mickey's Night before Christmas Show there. It was really cute.

When you enter the party, get a MVMCP map. It will have the photo locations and the hot choc and cookie locations.

The family photo is just that, a photo of your family in front of a cute background. When you receive it, it will have a border around it with the year and the words "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" You can get as many copies as tickets you have.

The button is just a souvenir button that has Santa Mickey and the words "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" on it with the year.

There are several locations like by LTT, by IASW, by Buzz Lightyear right etc...

Same with the hot choc...several location (on the map).

The snow is soapy foam so no snow ball fights. They only run the machines during the 2 parades.

At closing is when they move people who are staying for the party to Tomorrowland. If you have a PS, go to the restaurant.

They let you go where ever you want at 7:00p.

Thanks from someone who is too excited by my Disney progress for the day that I forgot to ask such great questions!:cloud9:

Thanks. This was great info. I really love these boards and how wonderful everyone is with sharing their knowledge.

Serenity,
Just to let you know why you couldn't find what thread you posted too....usually when you post to a thread you become "subscribed" to that thread and when you go to User CP you can see all your subscribed threads, well a few weeks ago the defaults were changed and you have to go into the User CP and Edit Options and make sure you have Email Notification checked as a yes....I didn't and therefore I wasn't subscribing to any threads I had posted or replied to...I finally went to the tech board and dan murphy helped me...hope this helps you!!

What is LTT??

I am having a ditzy moment and cannot figure this one out but it is posted all over the boards...Someone HELP ME! LOL

Thank you Angel's Momma, I could not figure that out! LOL...is there something special they do for dinner there during this time? That is one place we have not been to in all of our trips to the WDW. Sounds like a popular place to eat at during the MVMCP? Tell me what the hype is about for here so I might join in the march too :p

Wow, my pictures were so different. They weren't 5x7 but were those ones like people make into Christmas cards? Ok, you know the photo of the family and a little saying or whatnot on the side. Ours was vertical and had the MVMCP on the bottom and we got 5 of them and only had 3 tickets (family of 4 but ds was 2).

I thought it was neat though and we got them quick. We did our party in the middle of our trip and they were already waiting for us when we got home 5 days later!!

The cookie and cocoa line was huge, and the line to see Santa was terrible. The snow was neat. Had to tell oldest ds he couldn't eat it because it was more like soap bubbles.

We have never eaten there either so I am unsure if my answer will be correct. But from what I have read, it is not any more special than the other places, it is just that they allow you to book that PS now instead of 90 days out. For any other PS you have to wait till 90 days. And then you will be competing not only with the MNSSHP and MVMCP guests but everyone else too.

I am sure that others have more info and will post it.

Because it's a 'proper' meal i.e. meats and veg I think that it's a good choice for a evening meal, especially if you are at the MVMCP. I really enjoyed it when we went there for MNSSHP.

I think you are right, it is the only one you can book earlier then 90 days.

Thanks for the info..that is what I was thinking but making sure that I was not missing something extra there. We are going to try to get tkts for MVMCP Dec. 12th first choice or 16th last choice.

Alright, excuse my ignorance but are the family photo, cocoa & cookies and the pin included in the ticket price? Obviously this will be our 1st time at MVMCP and we can't wait!!
