Have been to MNSSHP before. Have always wanted to go to MVMCP. I get to go this year to the first one on November 13!!!! I can't wait. What should I expect? Can I get my wrist band at GS at POP before going to the park that morning? What things happen at the Christmas party? This is my 15th anniversary present from my dh. He knows how much I have always wanted to see the Christmas decorations at DW!!!

Snow on Main Street. Special Wishes fireworks, Christmas parade. Free hot cocoa and cookies. Don't forget to get your picture taken! There's some Christmas shows going on too! Make sure to get a schedule so you can fit them all in. Last time we were there was in 2004, it got downright COLD! And we're from Illinois. We'll be there again this year, on November 30th.

Christmas at WDW is wonderful!! I'm going to my first MNSSHP this year in October, but I've been to WDW at Christmas time a few times. The party is fun - I would suggest getting your photo taken first and then check out the shows. I would recommend the Christmas shows in Tomorrowland and in front of Cinderellas Castle. The parade is great and Christmas wishes is a must see. The snow is really cool and it's fun to see the characters dressed up in their Christmas outfits. Don't forget to check out the GF and other resorts to see their Christmas decorations. Also, all the parades at the parks will have a Christmas theme. We had the same experience with the cold weather - everytime we go it seems to get cold at night (except in August) and everytime we hear - this is unusual weather for Florida! :) So....make sure you take gloves and a jacket/sweatshirt just in case. Of course, as soon as the cold hits - all the cold weather clothes "magically" appear in the stores. I think that is so cool!

Have fun and I can't wait to hear how your first Christmas in WDW goes! I'm looking forward to my first Halloween at WDW.

75 days to go. I am so excited I can barely stand it. I can't talk about the trip around my dd's because they aren't going.

The party sounds magical. I can't wait. Where do you get your picture taken? We are eating at LTT at 4:20 the night of MVMCP.

I am going for our first MVMCP this year. We have tickets for after Thanksgiving. Hopefully all the Thanksgiving vistors will have headed home by then. :sunny:

I would appreciate how we should do the scheduling of our evening. We have ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern for 4:55. What should we do when we finish dinner. I will be traveling with a party of 8 with the ages of 4,11/2, 35, 35, 36,34, 48 and 50. I would appreciate suggestions as where to go first and such.

We are also gonig on November 13...can't wait!!

Angel16.....I guess after we eat at LTT we should head to get our wrist bands so we can stay in the park for the party. Does anyone know where they usually hand these out? Can we get them earlier in the day?

Don't forget to pack your MVMCP tickets with you when you go to the park for the day. We plan on staying at MK all day so I will have to remember to pack them in my backpack.

Bumping - Does anyone have any information on what would be the best way to do the different activities at this special party? We sure would appreciate any an all suggestions.

We will have our wrist bands, as we will be coming to the park after 4:00
PM for our dinner ADR at Liberty Tree.

Thank you :santa:

Hopelea,

I wish you the best anniversary ever!! DH and I have always wanted to visit WDW around Christmas and since he changed jobs 3 years ago we are now able to make that dream a reality every year! We do not go for Christmas week but sometime during the first 2 weeks in Dec. Since going in 2004 I was hooked...the resorts, the parks, the EVERYTHING! So magical and memorable!

Thank you for the wishes!! I was smiling in the car today thinking...."I love my life, I couldn't ask for anything more. I have a wonderful DH, 2 great dd's (most of their pre-teen days) and I get to go to Disney World with my DH for the MVMCP." Who could ask for more?? :cloud9:

This will be the best Christmas season ever. I hate to wish my days away but, why can't November get here!!!! :hyper: party:

We are also going for 13 November! :santa:

Yes, if you have time don't miss the GF, WL, YC & others, for the decorations! Gingerbread houses; carolers; miniature railroad train villages; giant, grand Christmas trees!
I love the piped in steel drum Christmas music at CBR--it reminds me of visiting when DS was young! I get excited just remembering the poinsettia 'Christmas trees' in the parks! :goodvibes

You can get your wristbands for MVMCP just about anywhere in the MK. In past years we have seen CMs about, you stand in line, show your MVMCP cards & they'll put on the wristband.

When you arrive in the park pick up an MVMCP schedule, it is similiar to the events schedule. You can get these when you first enter MK. Plan your evening. There will be many photo ops--don't pass them by even if you see a huge line--last year the line for family photos was a snaking mess--we thought we'd be there for HOURS but :wizard: there were plenty of photographers & we couldn't have waited anymore than 20 minutes, start to flash! :thumbsup2 At the end of the night (we closed the park down :sunny: ) it was a walk up, as were most of the rides :cloud9:

We really enjoyed the shows & as has been said, MVMCP Wishes! is spectacular--grab a viewing point early & don't forget the trees tend to fade into the night & will block your view. :artist: I'll be sitting at a table about 1 hr & 15 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled to go off! :cheer2:

Hot cocoa & cookies lines--we got served very quickly, within 5 minutes. We noticed that there were quite a few very short lines & in all the hub bub of Cosmic Ray's--I don't know why folks don't notice, they just don't :confused3
Well, makes it easier for alert DISers!

I have to add, we've never been to a MVMCP on a Fri or Saturday night, nor for the last ones & this will be our 1st time at a first night MVMCP. We've gone to one of the 1st events in late November & to the MVMCP in early December. We never thought there would be a MVMCP so early in the season, but we're pleased as punch to be going! party:

Yes, the parade is wonderful!

We'll be wearing our lime green Mickey Heads so say 'hello' if you see us!
