We planned a last minute trip, as in last last week, down this week. Bought tickets for the Tues (8th) party and I was thinking it might not be too crowded since it is a Tuesday. Wrong! It's sold out now. What's your best advice for a plan and/or must dos for your 5 and 6 year old (boy and girl)? I'm not concerned about them falling asleep because we have done midnight before. Their main concerns are seeing Flynn and Jack Sparrow. I don't think they will care about Sandy, pretty sure he might freak them out. Can someone clue me in on what/where talking Mickey is, this seems right up their alley. Other than that I k ow they will want to do rides, the parade, and the dance party. We plan to arrive at 4 and are not eating a sit down dinner in the park.

We were there this week and did the party on Friday night. It was also sold out so I'm guessing a similar amount of people...kinda, about ...how ever, many INSANE would be. Yeah, about that much.

Folks were camped on the curbs all along mainstreet by 7 pm and there was not a seat to be had. We went ahead and rode Space Mountain with a 20-25 minute wait and then joined the crowds to crane our necks and see the parade. I have literally never ever seen this many people at a parade, day or nig and we've been seven times in the past 3 years. When the fireworks were over, there was a MASS exodus towards the exit so I have no doubt after the 9:30 fireworks are over, that's when the easy ride lines begin because so many people leave.

We walked to and from Main street to Tomorrow land back to Space mountain and back down Main street and we did not see anything that was being passed out...cocoa, cider, cookies or anything like that. For us, it was just another night at MK, with a parade and the Celebrate the Magic/Wishes. Just with a gazillion guests and the parade folks wearing Holiday garb.

Plan on staying past the main exodus and I think you'll get to enjoy a late night without quite so many folks. We saw a LOT of families heading TO the park after we got back to GF. Lots of little ones arriving at 10pm. We were pooped but some folks were having tons of energy. For us, it just wasn't enough of a different experience to warrant the cost.
I admire your kids fortitude to staying up that late! :sunny:

I recommend viewing the parade from Frontierland and checking out the late castle show. We like to see the last one at around 11:00 then head over to jump on the 7DMT line a little before midnight. Also keep in mind that even at a sold out party there can only so many people - and that is just a small amount when compared to MK's regular day crowd. Have fun! :santa:

I can't help with the character questions as we don't do M&Gs, but did you know that you can make FP+ for the time period between when they let party-goers into MK (4pm) and up until the party starts? Actually, the last FP+ time issued will be 5:30 so there's a 1 hour window for riding and then time to clear those without party tickets out of the park. Our visit (Nov. 10) went like this: We had FP+ from 3:25-4:25 for Peter Pan, 4:30-5:30 for Big Thunder Mountain, and 5:30-6:30 for Winnie the Pooh. We arrived at MK around 3:30, and they started letting us in around 3:45. We rode Peter Pan, then went right over and got on BTMRR. When that was done, Splash Mountain was showing a 20 minute wait so we hopped in that standby line (and yes, it was about 20 minutes in line). Then we went back to FantasyLand and rode Pooh. It was helpful to get those rides done before the party started. We weren't there on a sell-out night, but I could see that people were lining up very early for the first parade; it made me glad we decided to go to the second one!

I am also going to this party! Also kinda bummed it sold out too.
If you search the official thread on here for MVMCP you could probably find more exact times for characters. I have heard that waits for Jack Sparrow are rather short, about 20 mins so. Right now on MDE it says he's meeting at 9:45-10:30 but I believe he has times before that.
Flynn and Rapunzel's line is always crazy so I think many people suggest you start lining up. One person said 5:45 on that thread, so get to princess fairytale hall asap. Maybe have parents switch off for rides?
Always go to the later parade, 10:30. It may still be crowded in areas but much better chance of finding a good spot. Perhaps around main street.

Also talking mickey should be in town square theater near the front of the park. If you don't have the Disney App I would get it cause it really helps with looking at wait times and maps where characters are at.
