mvmcp parade vs. spectro

Hi! Just need some input from all the experienced Disney folks!! We are going to Disney from December 18-24. We have already purchased our tickets for the MVMCP on the 19th, do we need to also see the Spectro parade? How different are they? They only offer it twice while I am there, so I am worried about the crowds. We have park hoppers so I was thinking just pop in the park for spectro and then leave? Thanks for your help!

The MVMCP parade and Spectro are two different parades, I believe. We went to MVMCP last year and saw the parade and it was not like the Spectro that I remembered. I have to admit that we didn't see Spectro last year, but I figured that it was the same as when we had seen it. Someone who has seen it during the holiday season might know it is different or not.

We were at WDW last holiday season, and had a great time I'm just a little jealous

The Holiday Parade is a nice change, but you should definately make it a point to see both. The MVMCP parade has really great holiday floats and Christmas music. Definately worth seeing, but Spectro is amazing. All of the floats are covered in tiny lights and the music itself is just wonderful. IMO, make the time to see them both.

Although you are going during a busy season, this is my suggestion.
Spectro is held twice a night, I would plan on going to the second showing, it usually is not as crowded as the first.

For sure take the time to see both! The two parades are completely different from one another.

As mentioned before, if it's possible, be sure to stay for the 2nd running of a parade when there are two scheduled. The later one always will be less crowded.

Agreed on both counts, and I am NOT a parade person.

I'll casually watch a parade as I stroll by, but daytime parades just don't excite me at all. I see that as ride time.

Spectro, and the party parades, though...No question, gotta see 'em all.

Thanks for all the input! I moved our fantasmic package to Thursday from Wednesday so that we can park hop just to catch the 10:15 parade that night! We have never seen Spectro before ( I sort of remember it from when I was a child) so we are not going to miss it this time with all your great reviews of it!! Thanks again! I definitely would suggest trying to see both. Spectro is just so 'Disney'! It is one of my favorites. . with the lights, and the music!

I have also seen the holiday parade at MVMCP a few years ago, and it is a great parade and really puts you in the Christmas Spirit!
