Hello everyone,
Does the active military person have to attend the party or are they able to purchase discounted tickets for other people in their party. For example, Navy man wants to take wife out for romantic evening. Can he purchase Military discount tickets for MVMCP for Grandpa, Grandma and his daughter.
Thanks Ricky P

I believe that once the tickets are activated (you will have to be with the family at the initial activation) that as long as the tickets to MVMCP are attached to your card- or wristband as it may be now- you no longer need to be with them, as far as I know!

Sorry I don't know, I would hope so.We have several persons who I'm sure that will post. They're members who have a wealth of knowledge on ticket questions. So I'm sure you will get the information you request.

The Military member will need to purchase the tickets. The dates are in early to mid November. These tickets DO NOT have to be activated. You can send your group on to the party and have a great time doing what ever else you have in mind.

I'm wracking my brain about the "activation" thing for these tickets. As far as I know, the tickets are already active, just like Disney MYW tickets are already active. It's true that the tickets have to be purchased in person. And they may be purchased in advance of the date of the desired party. The military member (or spouse) can do the purchase. If at Shades of Green, no sales tax is applied. If at a Disney ticket location, 6.5% tax will be charged.

One year we purchased the tickets at DTD, a week before our party date. We were worried about the date being sold out. Now you can buy military discount tickets for a sold-out date, but in that case, you must purchase the tickets that day -- at MK front gate Guest Relations facility. If you are purchasing tickets for a sold-out date that is not a military discount date, you can do so at any Disney ticket outlet.

In remembering the past few years, it was just me and DD. I was at the TTC ticket booths and I showed my military ID and a CC for payment. They were sold out nights, but not discount nights. I don't recall the Disney CM asking for any info about my DD, like it's done for the Armed Forces Salute tickets.

I haven't seen anywhere with the dates for military discounts.....I know I have to buy them at the ticket booths, but can someone point to the actual dates posted. Thanks.
