MVMCP: Are Fridays really sooo bad?

I'm trying to get my itinerary together for December and going to MVMCP on Friday, 12/10 realy works the best for me. I know the ticket sales are limited so I thought even if it sells out it wouldn't be a mob scene. Is it worth me trying to switch things around to go a different night or should Friday be okay?

We went last Dec. on a Friday night and it was a sold out night and it wasn't bad at all. Yes, it was crowded, but it was do able. Loved the special parade, cocoa and cookies, and shows. LTT before MVMCP is absolutely worth it! Get early ressies now before they're all booked up. Have fun!

Are there lines for the rides or is it like I hear about the other nights where you can pretty much walk right on?

If you could go another night without it being too much trouble I would go a different night besides Friday. The problem dh and I faced last Dec was alot of weekend crowds. We still had a great time but ride waits were a little too long for us (but we are spolied and always go in the off season) but it may not be for anyone that is used to going busier times. But if you can't change I wouldn't worry too much about it , you will have a great time no matter what.

We went last year on a Friday (12/12), as well as on a Sunday (12/14). There was definitely a difference in the crowd levels. Some places on Friday night were mobbed (and we're used to mobs since we go every year in July). That said, we didn't have any trouble getting into shows and still had a wonderful time. We did the shows, parade, and character greetings on Friday and rode on Sunday. I'd do it again, but I'd still go two nights.

This is OT, but bring a warm coat. We're from the cold Northeast and we froze at night during our trip. The weather's very unpredictable in December. I had leather gloves on every night and wished I had a heavier coat (so did my fiance who's a former hockey player).

What made LTT worth it? I'd love to know!

You guys convinced me!!! I'm changing my itinerary around and going on Sunday, 12/5 (and bringing a warm coat). Thanks for all the advice!!

Hopefully you won't need your coat! We may be going around the same time and I figure if I'm prepared with a coat, it'll be sunny and warm. Have a wonderful trip!!

Last dec 5ths party I was all ready with my coat and sweaters and gloves as I have heard ( and experienced) cold , cold ,cold in dec ....... and wouldn't you know it it was pretty dang warm and I had to take all of it off lol. ME and dh enjoyed icecream while watching wishes. :hyper:

And the next week, it was freezing at night (12/12)! Typical December weather - this is why we go on July, too. You know it'll be HOT. If only WDW could do a Christmas in July theme...
