MVMCP and park entrance

Please bear with me - I HAVE done a search on this question and I am still so confused! Could someone take pity on me and answer me in a "MVMCP and Magic Bands for Dummies" sort of way? Thank you so much in advance! So here's my question:

On Nov. 17, I have a ticket for MVMCP, and I plan to go to parks on the 18th and 19th, so my MB, as I understand it, will "know" that I have two park entrance tickets PLUS a ticket for MVMCP. My question is, when I enter the park at around 4 PM on the 17th, using my Magic Band, won't that automatically "use" one of my park entrance tickets? Or will it "know" because it's the right date, that I intend to use my party "ticket" for that day, leaving me 2 park days intact? Does this make sense? Also, I have FPs for the 17th, for the hours between 4 and 7 PM - I assume that's okay even though I'm entering the park on my MVMCP ticket and not using a regular park ticket that day? I have tried to phrase this as clearly as I can...
Also, I did not see a choice to have the MVMCP tickets mailed to me as separate paper tickets. They are on my MDE and I assume they will be in the Magic Band data. Again, thanks to anyone who can lead me by the hand through this!!

Just before you head to MK that day, go to any Guest Relations and have your Party ticket set to the highest priority.

If you have the Party tickets mailed to you, they will not be paper.
All tickets issued from WDW will be plastic credit card-type tickets with an RFID chip inside.

All tickets in your MDE can be accessed with your MagicBand(s.)

FP+ reservations are not linked to any specific ticket, nor does any specific
ticket need to be used at the gates in order to access and use any FP+ reservations that day.

THANK YOU!! I'll have the party set as "high priority" when we get to the resort. And no worries about the FPs. This is VERY helpful!

We have the entire Christmad thread if you have any more questions I'm going to add this question to the FAQ as it seems very helpful

Yeah, probably best to enter with the actual MVMCP ticket to ensure there's no confusion, I think that's what we'll do

From what I understand you can just use the ticket card (if you have one) for entrance and FP. I plan to leave my MB off to avoid confusion.

Agree. If you don't have a hard ticket- get one mailed to you. And do it soon. We asked for hard tickets a couple of weeks ago, still not here. Took my AP voucher almost a month to get here. This is our plan, too. MB's in pockets- ONLY the hard ticket will be presented at the turnstile as an admission option. Takes too much time away from a vacation working with GS to correct a mistake like losing a park day off your MB, so eliminate the possibility of it happening.

I see this posted a lot.
If you have the party tickets linked to your MDE account (many do, so that they can book advanced FP+)
I'm sorry to say that using just the Party hard ticket at the MK gates does NOT eliminate the possibility of the system deducting the wrong ticket.
Since all of your tickets are accessible in MDE, the party card can trigger the same kind of wrong ticket deduction as using the MB.
I have read reports of this very thing happening.

The short of it is...
There is always the possibility of a GLITCH.
Always check. Always.

You'll need guest services at MK to prioritize your tickets prior to entering the party.

It's Guest Relations. (Guest Services is something else at WDW.)
And, it does not have to be at MK.

That was my understanding from the first response to my query (that I should have my tickets prioritized before going to the park). So again, I'm going to the guest relations desk at my resort when I check in the night before and I'll ask them to prioritize my party ticket such that it will be what is used when I enter the park for the first time the next day for MVMCP. I do not have any ticket cards for the party, and frankly, what's the point of the MB if you also have to tote tickets... so I'm not going to ask for them to be sent, and I'm going to hope for the best. If anything goes wrong I'll report back to this thread! (keep in mind this is all happening in 2 months time LOL)

I never even considered this might be a problem. We are attending the party Nov. 12, we fly in that morning and don't want to use one of our park passes. I will be sure to check with guest relations before we head to the party. Thanks for asking the question.

Your MVMCP is a week before mine. I hope you'll have a chance to let us know here how it went? Have fun!

Sorry I didn't get back to you, yes I will try to remember to post once I get my answer, might be a little distracted, Happiest Place on Earth!

Went to the Christmas party last night. It was awesome! We spoke to the concierge at the resort and she assured us there was no problem. We did not scan our magic bands for entrance, we just gave them the party ticket and went right in. Good luck to all, it really was a non issue.

when I went to MNSHP this year they had a separate entrance for the party where you would scan your magic band but you did not need to use your finger if it is the same I think those entry points was set up to only do the party tickets.

and I am doing the party the same days as you so excited I can not wait
