What are snacks and foods everyone thinks are a must have while in the parks. I have heard dole whip is good, but what else?

I would like to purchase a park exclusive pandora charm while we are there and was wondering if Dumbo is still available to purchase in the park?

Also we plan to grab a drink at trader sams but have heard of them not having some of the souvineer cups in stock at certain times. Is that a regular thing, does getting there when they open help if there is a certain cup I want to get?

Since the budget for meals is tight, according to your other thread, how is the snacks budget? And does your family prefer salty or sweet snacks? Or both? One trick is to share snacks so that everyone gets to try all kinds of different things. That way no one gets super full on snacks and no one gets stuck with something they don't like. Turkey legs were always a must have for our family -- but they are huge for a one person snack! Definitely shareable for our whole family!

Correct the do run out, fairly frequently. I also belive they have a quota of how many they will serve in a day to try to stretch things out a bit. Which one are you looking for? There are some TS groups on Facebok that keep things updated so you know whats out of stock and what's new.

For my family, we like:
  • Mickey Beignets (Mint Julep Bar)
  • Oswald Sundae (Clarabelle's in DCA)
  • Raspberry Rose Macaron (Jolly Holiday) - Although, pretty much any of the dessert items at Jolly Holiday are really good
  • Funnel Cake Fries (Award Wiener)
  • Popcorn and Churros

I don't know if it's still available in DLR, but it shows as being available in the ShopParks App. So if you can't find it in the parks or if you don't want to chance it, you could order via the App.

I had planned on sharing the snacks just so we could all kinda taste the must taste things and to keep costs down. I have heard a lot of good things about dole whip so we are def going to try that.

The barrel mug cup is the one I really want

I was hoping to try it on my bracelet before buying it. Some of the dangle ones I can tolerate and others feel too bulky and heavy.

The barrel mug comes when you order a Shipwreck, along with a neat little effect for the ship in a bottle if you are inside when you order it. They generally do not run out because it's not a specialty mug, but it's possible that anything could be out of stock at any time.

For snacks I always have to get a pretzel with cheese sauce. Mickey pretzels are good, but I like the Bavarian pretzels at Sonoma Terrace (DCA) better. The cheddar garlic bagel twist from Maurice's Treats (DL) is also very yummy. For sweet snacks I like the Matterhorn macaroon (Jolly Holiday at DL park) and Dole whips.

The snacks aren’t a great deal. You can get a meal for $10ish and split it or get a churro and a pretzel. Well, you can get those at any theme park and they’re just a churro and pretzel it’s not like they’re amazing or anything. We don’t buy snacks in the park. Certainly not dole whip. I prefer it at my local frozen yogurt shop. It’s cheaper and stays frozen, not all melty. Next trip I’m free of kids so I plan to try the dole whip with rum at the Disneyland Hotel.

We started the no snack thing a year we got AP’s and had 4 flights and hotels to pay for. Dh and I would split a meal when we were feeling

One thing that some might consider a snack but I eat it as my meal is the Bengal bbq skewers. Skip the rice plate. Just get the individual skewers.

For snacks...I’m a big fan of anything in Pooh Corners case! Tiger tails or a caramel apple usually finds its way to our family...
I have one daughter who loves the churros so much I had a shirt made that says “I’m here for the churros”.
And the iconic Mickey Mouse ice cream on the stick. One of my favorite photos of my DD’s when they were little was them waiting for the parade eating a melting Mickey Mouse!

We bring a lot of snacks into the park too, to save $, but ya gotta love a few DL sweets!

I heard about the donuts they now have by the castle...on my list of gotta try it!

The dole whips are good too, but so many of our local frozen yogurt places have them now that I don’t really want them in the park anymore.

Have fun discovering your favorites!

Not sure if the Dumbo charm is still available, but there are several on ebay for $30.00. I just bought one to add to my Disney bracelet.

I'm always curious about things like this...how do the sellers manage to sell items so cheaply compared to the retail price. The Dumbo charm was $70.00 at ShopDisney.com when they had it in stock. If they're selling it for $30, that's $40 off the retail price (more than 50%). Then there are the shipping fees and the listing fees from eBay, so they have to be buying them with an even higher discount so that they can make a profit when selling the item. Do you think it's like pins, where they could be selling over-runs? Could they be straight up fakes/copies?

Figment_jii , the Pandora charms are almost always on sale somewhere- even the Disney one. Just in the past couple of weeks 2 sample sale websites had them ranging from 30-50 percent off- and one was a Disney specific sale. I imagine that's how.

Sample sales would make sense, but I'm just a little skeptical that that is how most of the eBay sellers get their items. Even at a 50% discount, that wouldn't be enough to make it profitable to sell the charm at $30. They would have needed to found a sale selling it for closer to 60% off, plus whatever they get charged in fees by eBay and to cover shipping. So they would need something in the order of 60% to 70% discounts just to break even and I"m guessing they aren't trying to break even. I guess it's possible, I'm just a little suspicious that these aren't really authentic/legitimate items.

It's not just sample sales- that was just an example. Some probably are fakes- but many of the women in my partner's family are nuts over Pandora and have rarely paid full price for any of the charms. This is a huge topic at holidays, lol.

I agree with @figment_jii, eBay sales at less than 50% of the list price for Pandora are sketchy at best. That amount of discount just doesn't make sense. I'd pass on those sales as likely fakes, stolen, or otherwise shady.

My local Pandora store verified that the Dumbo charm I bought on ebay was authentic. I wondered too how they could sell the charms so cheaply. I thought that maybe it was someone who was selling her bracelet and charms. A Pandora bracelet filled with charms could bring a lot of money, well over a thousand dollars, if the charms and bracelet were all sold separately.
And if we are to worry about stolen merchandise on ebay, then we should never buy from ebay.

I bought my Dumbo charm on Mercari and it was also verified authentic.
