I am working on my budget & wondering what the "must have" souveneirs are for children. Mine are ages 2, 8 & 12. Can you think of anything that all of the children seem to have? :)

My youngest daughter is nuts for the dragon/unicorn stuff from The Lost Continent, t-shirts, cuddly animals, either dragon or unicorn.

My 17 year old daughter is nuts for tshirts or boxers with Cat in the Hat, or Spiderman.

Is there anything such as disney's lightchasers that all of the children have at night? Anything the vendors try pushing on the streets that children feel they MUST have, or else! :hyper: Just wanna prepare myself. Thanks:)

When I brought my niece to disney, I stopped at my local walmart before leaving and in the party supply section bought some glow necklaces and bracelets and in the toy section bought some of those spinning light things. I would put them in my pack when we would go to the parks at night and when she wanted to buy one from the parade, I just took it out of my bag...saved alot of money

Right now, I think the "must have" souvenirs for kids (mine are 10 and 14) are Shrek ears (they also have Fiona ears now which are Shrek ears with a little princess crown on them.) They are $5.99 in the Shrek gift shop or the Universal Studios Store but the It's a Wrap gift shop which is right at the exit turnstiles has them at 2 for $10.00. I also saw them at 2 for $10 at a small cart next to Central Park just before you cross into World Expo.

The other "must have" would have to be a Med-Jai symbol necklace which is sold (also for $5.99) at the Revenge of the Mummy gift shop. Both my sons just had to have one of these.

Both of these are Universal Studios related merchandise. In my opinion there are no real "must have's" at IOA.

They do have those "light chasers" at the parks. At IOA, we ended up getting our son a Hulk and Spiderman one, but they have others.

Spidey, you buying a hulk and spiderman one. Imagine that.:p
