Okay there's gotta be a few "must have" items that you realized you should have taken on the cruise but didn't...that would have helped make your trip even more enjoyable (if that's possible) or more efficient. Got any tips? I did hear that it's good to take your own blow dryer, as the one in the room isn't that powerful.

Thanks in advance!

There is a thread out there titled packing list that has great info. The search function should help you find it.

That was great Jody! Now if I can just get my DD to buy into that logic. Not the money part so much as the half the clothes part!

I'll look that thread up.

As for packing, I'm already trying to decide how to pack lighter...since we'll also be lugging two child safety seats with us! This should be interesting since I normally like to have "choices" when it comes to getting dressed. This is really going to be a challenge!

i set my packing list up in excel and just re-work it depending on the type of vaca (obsessed list maker here)

bathroom column, clothes column, and 'stuff that needs to be done/bought' column

i'm sure it's on wovenwonder's list but an absolute must-have is the over-the-door shoe holder for all your toiletries, etc. to free up the bathroom counters. i use it on all my big trips now (not just my dcl cruises).

At the bottom of my link (posted above) be sure to check out Calgon's Ultimate Packing List which I've now added a link to at the bottom of my packing page.
:D

Thanks so much Jody, for the link and the advice. I think you really nailed it with the, " 1/2 the amount of clothing and goodies and TWICE the amount of money."

I would also add:

A small can of LYSOL. Those bathrooms in the cabins have no ventilation . . .

i always pack my own bottled water, pack it right in the suitcase and when i get on board i put it in the little fridge.

I'm just finishing the packing for our Sat cruise:bounce:
Has anyone ever had any of the bottled water bottles break and leak all over everything (I do have them in ziplok bags)?

I carry empty spring water bottles in my suitcase or carryon and then fill them with drinking water from the deck#9 beverage station. No chance of wet luggage -- plus it is alot lighter to carry the empty bottles. The water at the beverage station is very good -- and I am normally a bottled water drinker. So why do I bother carrying on the bottles if I like the ships water? I like to keep some on hand in the fridge in my room --- plus its nice to have them on hand to take along on the islands.
:D

ive never had them break in my suitcase, sometimes i put them in my carry on suitcase, and other times i 've put them right in my luggage, there usually still wrapped in the little plastic things that keep them all together, if you only put them in one suitcase, and they break its only water, you can iron it dry if you have too, but like i said i have NEVER had them break in any of my suitcases. hope this helps, also today i was at a stop and shop and i found a little six pack of 8 oz gatorades, i'm going back to get them too as we leave sunday for wdw and wonder!!!!!
