Must have gifts of 2010?

Just wondering, since it is well into the season now, what the hottest toys for kids are for 2010? The ones that no one can find, and are sold out everywhere..

I have heard about LaLaLoppsy dolls and Zhu Zhu pets, but those seem to be heavily stocked at the Big Chain store around the corner..... am i missing something that my kids will kill me for not knowing about?

Surprisingly there were no IT toys this year... much to this eBay seller's chagrin!

There were a few "wanna haves" like Pillow Pets but nothing like the Zhu Zhu pet or Cabbage Patch phenomena. The XBox Kinect came close but not like the Wii did a few years back.

Here it's squinkies and sing-a-ma-gigs (I think). I haven't seen a squinkie since before Thanksgiving and only one singy-thing. (I'm so up to date!)

Nope they're not selling that well. Most sellers are selling them in lots just to get their money back. Nothing like the previous top sellers.

What I was saying is that Monster High Dolls are difficult to find in stores but not difficult to find of Ebay. Think there's a connection?

But good. Serves them right. Hope the stores refuse to take them back when they don't sell on Ebay.

Well, looks like i am covered then

I wave been tempted to do the e-bay thing a few times over the years, (There is a walmart right by my house that is out in the middle of nowhere (yeah, i live just to the left of the middle of nowhere!) and it is one of those hidden gems, where they are ALWAYS stocked cause they get just enough traffic to keep the store open, but not enough to have the crowds.

When Wiis and PS3s were selling for $1000 .. this store had a ton of them...

i could never take advantage of someone like that though..


But it would look like i am covered for this year though.. no angry kids!!

I can pretty much find anything, nothing has popped out as being the 'it' toy. Yesterday I found 3 or 4 of each Monster High Doll at Walmart even. There's plenty of squinkies, zhu-zhu pets (even the princess sets), zoobles, lala loopsy dolls and pillow pets available around here. Now I don't have a boy, but I haven't noticed any large gaping empty sections in their departments either. It's nothing like last year when I spent way too much energy looking for those darn zhu-zhus!

The one thing i am looking for and cannot find in my area (even at my special store) is a PS3 Move controller. We already have 2 cameras, so i just need the controller.. and can't find one anywhere ;(
