Hey guys, im going in May to all the parks, any suggestions (other than rides) as to what to do, where to eat, ect...

Thanks

some great places i have eaten for dinner: Le Cellier @ Epcot, 1900 Park Fair is a good buffet @ the Grand Floridian Resort, Cinderellas castle @ Magic Kingdom has good dinner

go and see the Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid show in MGM
Bugs Life 3D show in Animal Kingdom
Philarmagic 3D in Magic Kingdom

Firework shows you can see are Wishes at Magic Kingdom and Illuminations at Epcot

In addition to TheLostRescueRanger's list, I will add:

1) AK: Festival of the Lion King
2) EPCOT: Club Cool (you can try coca-cola variations from around the world) and the trains in Germany
3) Walk around the boardwalk area one evening

The coca-cola thing sounds awesome!

the Coca Cola Igloo is awesome, although the drink from Italy (I beleive it's called Beverley) definetly requires an aquired taste hehe.

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop is a must, great coffees and ice creams, but the queues can get outrageously long on fridays and saturday nights.

you could also rent one of the small speedboats at the disney market place for something a little different They do require a drivers licence though.

I LOVE the sushi and the pork loin at California Grill, we always try to get reservations during the fireworks display at MK, Awesome & Yummy!!:wizard:

Favourites? Besides ALL of it??:lmao:

Well here are a few of our favourites. Not in order of preference

Shows:

Illuminations,
Spectromagic
Wishes

Rides:

Soarin' (did this three times in a row) :cool1:
ToT (I wanted to do a 2nd ride but DS12 backed out)
Splash Mountain (did this 3 times in a row on EMH, and twice another day)
Thunder Mountain (3x as well during EMH, and once another day)
It's Tough to Be a Bug
Honey, I shrunk the Audience

Food:

Le Cellier
Sci-Fi
50's Primetime

These were our faves, and will probably do them all over again. Would like to do Expedition Everest next time. DS 12 misses Soarin the most.

If you are going with children 9-10 and younger try to book some character breakfasts. You can find a bunch of information on character dining here or at http://www.allears.net/din/cbchar.htm. Don't forget your autograph book and a really big pen for the characters to sign with. That being said you can get autographs from any character you see around the parks. They have character locations on the maps too if you are interested.

For a quiet time you can check out the Electric Water Pageant. http://allearsnet.com/tp/ewp.htm

When you go to AK keep an eye out for Devine. She can be found on the pathways between Africa and Asia. http://allearsnet.com/tp/ak/ak_art1.htm

Also, the Lion King show at AK is well worth it. We go every year and it is still awesome.

Our families must do's are:
eat at the Sci Fi, Rainforest, & House of Blues
watch the firew works at MK
iluminations at EPCOT
a couple shopping trips to DD
Fatasmic

We love the Hoop-dee-doo at Fort Wilderness my 6 and 5 year old think it is so funny. A great time for the whole family. CHef Mickey is also great breakfast or dinner.

I second the Dole Whip idea! I can't wait to get back to the MK to have a Dole Whip float!!!! :cool1:

Last year I strolled through World Showcase at Epcot and stopped at every counter service I could find and got something -- it was great!

epcot : Soarin, LeCellier for Dinner, Beer and Churro in Mexico
MK: Space Mountain, Breakfast at Crystal Palace, Buzz Light Year, Spectro Magic, Wishes, Dinner at Liberty Tree
AK: Safari, Everest, Lunch at Flame Tree, The Nemo show and Festival of Lion King
MGM: Fantasmic and Rock N Rollercoaster
DTD; Iced Coffe at Girhadelli, Lego displays, Earl of Sandwich

Go see the safari at animal kingdom lodge, especially at night when they have a bonfire and night vision goggles

My DH and I are also going for the first time in May. Is this different than the Safari ride at AK? That just sounds so neat to see the animals through night vision goggles.
Thanks.

My families must-do's are:

EPCOT- Soarin', Mission Space, Eat at the Biergarten (love the buffet/entertainment) and get a pearl from the Japan pavilion

DHS- Tower of Terror, Fantasmic (don't miss this!), Rockin Roller Coaster, Star Tours

AK- Expedition Everest, Dinosaur

MK- Wishes

We've been to WDW 40x and now lean to the odd and out of the way things: Our musts: Pizza and beer at Crocketts Tavern in FW, Music night Scat Cat Club at POFQ, meatball sandwiches POFQ, taking the river boat from POFQ to DTD, catching a movie at the AMC in DTD, buffet at Trails End in FW, picnic lunches at the resort pool, WL, hot dogs at Casey's in the MK, few beers at the Farmer's Market at the Studios, slow walk around the WS in Epcot, mini golf, shopping excursion via monorail of MK resorts. Really too many to list and we add each trip but we do all the usuals and then explore other resorts for entertainment, lounges.

My daughter and I are going in 6 days. she says she's going to leave her "kool side" at home (she's 13) and have the best time ever.:thumbsup2
we're hitting every park, including universal. This is her 3rd trip, my 7th.
Our last trip was in 05'. We never saw any of the live musical shows before because she never wanted to, but now she does. any suggestions??
