Must check in before using Dining Plan?

We are doing a split stay between the Dolphin and Old Key West. We bought the Dining Plan for our last 3 days while we are at OKW. Check in at OKW is not until 4pm.

Do we have to check in before we can use the dining plan for the day? We were hoping to have a table service lunch, but that would be before the 4pm check in time.

Has anyone done this? Thanks for your help!

You can check in earlier than 4PM, you just won't likely get your room until then. I plan on checking into Boardwalk at 9AM.

Just go over to Old Key West and check in earlier. They will give you the new room keys/with your DDP on it. I am pretty sure you cannot use the DDP until you do that, since it is attached to that part of your reservation.

We did that in January when we arrived about 10:30 AM from the airport. They told us to call a number later to find out when the room was ready and which room number it was. We left our bags with the Concierge and went to eat lunch at Hollywood Studios.
