What are your must get/favourite souvenirs from Disney?

And what things would you recommend getting before you go? I've heard get the kids Disney clothes locally beforehand but want some Disney experts opinions please :)

We don't really collect souvenirs per say (we move every 3/4 years and don't have the space for it)....but we always buy a new Christmas ornament to represent the trip in some way.

I did break down and bought a large Villains frame at Harringtons this weekend for our Halloween trip, it'll be great with a villain character photo. :goodvibes

I always buy a few toys or something before hand, one for each day of the trip, usually from the Disney Store while they're having a great sale. Then DS doesn't ask to buy something in every store, as we give it to him in the morning before heading to the park, as park toys are quite pricey! Works well. :thumbsup2

Thread Hijack sorry but I like the idea of taking pre-bought soft toys with you! Our holiday is a Christmas present so was going to buy each of my 3 girls a soft toy each to take with them in the hope that it stops them wanting to buy something so much!

As for must buy souvenirs .... I'm not a big souvenirs person, I prefer photos to knick knacks, but I try to get something small that you can only get in DLP ... like a keyring with DLP written on it or a small snowglobe/Tree ornament would be good as we are going at Christmas. Things like clothes/toys etc you can get at the Disney store so would have to be something you wouldn't for me to buy it lol

xx

Oh and my girls are going to get autograph books for character signatures which itself makes a great souvenir! I have mine still somewhere from when we went to Florida aged 9, 21 years ago! :goodvibes

A magnet of the year of the trip (as I, usually, take a trip/year), that's my must get !
....And a Christmas ornament, thanks to the disboard (they contaminated me....:rolleyes2)

But I second the idea of MissSkellington, buying some toys and trinckets from the disney store that you can pass it as souvenir, it'll probably be cheaper than in the parks.

Oh yeah, and, like Renowen, I still have my first autograph book...Oh, the memories ! :)

My must buys: EVERYTHING.

I'm not very good at saying no to things when they just scream buy me

But definitely:

- Something Stitch
- New Magnet
- New Christmas decoration
- Those cheap chew sweets

We go quite a lot, but each from each trip I have to have pen, magnet and a Christmas ornament with the year on......then I have to buy more decorations ;) Our daughter always buys herself a plushy and we like to get her an autograph book. Can't go without buying a glitter princess ornament either :)

I normaly buy a Christmas ornament if we are going over the Christmas season, and I always buy some trading pins. I'm quite liking the new ride pins, and we always get the trading pin of the hotel we are staying in, if the design has changed from the last time we stayed there.

Some times I get DW a fluffy toy too.

The best buy I usually buy is a calendar for the following year, there only 6.99 euro and its lovely bright pictures inside. Considering the price some calenders here are, its a very good price.

I usually also buy pens, pins, candy and magnets etc

We always buy a photo album with the year on it, a photoframe and a Christmas decoration! Other than that, whatever we fancy!

don't have a must buy...though I am enjoying key chains or magnets with places and dates...

however on my next trip I have started a wish list (though no specifics in mind yet, just hoping to find something in each category I want)
- mug
- stitch plushie
- ears/hat (thats kind of a tradition though not always)
- some 'treats'
- postcards and mailing them
- maybe pins/vinyls (planning on hitting a local disney store while home at Christmas first to see if I might start trading)

Must buy every trip is a fridge magnet with the year on and a Christmas tree decoration.:)
I used to buy cowboy type tin wear for the kitchen but they stopped selling it have quite a lot on the dresser.

Must haves Bauble(s) for the christmas tree :)
Anything Maleficent :)
oh and next trip will be keeping an eye out for the new Phantom Manor merchandise and I would really like a couple of the Park Posters that they've just started selling.:thumbsup2

Christmas tree ornament!

Last trip DH sneaked off and bought Rosebug and I a personalised glass slipper from the glass stall - I am hoping this is a new "tradition" he has! Although he did joke that he would buy us the matching ones next time (haha!)

Could someone tell me if they do the personalised Christmas baubles like they do at Disneys marketplace in florida?

Nothing is personalised I'm afraid :( Try the UK Disney Store though.
