We were in a Christmas store today & they had a garland decoration that had bells hanging from it & the bells played various Christmas tunes, by each bell ringing in rhythm. It might have been motion activated, I'm not sure. It was the coolest thing, but it had a sign that said "not for sale" It didn't look handmade though. We forgot to ask where they got this very cool decoration.

Anyone heard of this &/or know what they are called and where to purchase them?

Thanks!!:goodvibes

I have this, got is probably 20 years ago. I can't remember where. I haven't put it up for many years because it is pretty annoying actually. :lmao: I am going to guess I got it at Walmart maybe.

When I read the thread title, I thought you were describing a decoration that we had when I was little: a string of light up bells that blinked in time to music. No idea what happened to it and I'm nostalgic for that one!

What you're describing actually sounds much nicer! Sorry I can't help, but I'm interested in seeing one, too!

Thanks!:goodvibes Do you happen to know if it's motion sensored & what it's called? I'm wondering if I can find it on Ebay. I can see how it can get obnoxious, but I am a lover of these things at Christmas!!

I have these too - gold, with red bows -and the inside of the bells are "lights".. Mine have a remote so you can turn them on and off, lower the volume, have them motion activated, etc..

My late DH bought them for me at least 10 to 15 years ago - at Tru Value Hardware.. LOL..:santa:

I think we got ours about 20 years ago, too. The bells are strung individually on the cord and each bell has a clapper that rings the bell. I think they play 9 different songs. We sometimes put them on the tree and other times we string from the mantle. They are not motion activated, you have to turn on the switch. The only negative thing about them is they are LOUD. Like, when I turn them on on the house you can hear them in the street. :rotfl2: Our neighbor's must love it.

I have similar, but mine are not motion activiated. :goodvibes
Use them on my stair railing every year. When the music becomes annoying after while, I turn it down and let the bells blink away! :rotfl2:

Those are the ones my mother has. I think they have a nice tone.
