A couple of nights ago I read a message about training music...I haven't been able to find it since. Of course, I didn't get the specifics at the time and now I want them. Music helps me keep pace...a leftover from high school marching band possibly (ancient history. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the info...verrry useful.

We got our shirts...very bright!

*lightbulb* It took me a bit to connect teh names! Glad you liek them!

The fitpod.com music is also available on Itune podcasts. That is where I originally found it.

Hey Neighbor!

Where in Bradenton do you run?

Come join us in the Walking/Running Club threads. There's a couple of us former band geeks there ;)

we, my dh and I, train in Grey Hawk landing and Mill Creek housing developements. It's about 5 miles east of the interstate on SR 64. Well lit, good roads/sidewalks,and miles of intertwining roads. We also see quite a bit of wildlife, deer, owls, foxes, snakes, sandhill cranes...always makes a worth while training.

We'll be in Disneyland for the 1/2 and are signed up to do the DW marathon in January. My dh finished it last year in 5'30". Unfortunately I was swept and it has taken me and is still taking me major strength to train again. My ego was badly bruised and my confidence badly shaken. But I keep on ....

I've been a "lurker" for a couple of months now and want to let everyone know I really enjoy your tips, info, 'family-like' atmosphere

Glad to be here.

Tracy

Tracy - My parents winter in Bradenton, but I've only been there once.

It must be very hard to train again. I'm having a hard time as it is. Not having a great finishing moment to inspire you has to be rough! Hang with us in the weekly training threads and we'll do all we can to help!!!!

Cool! My aunt and uncle live in Mill Creek! I'm a bit south of you...right off University on the Manatee county side. I'm hoping to drag my family to the Boo Run 5K in Lakewood Ranch in October.

Good luck at DL...I so wish I was going to that one, but you'll be able to meet quite a few other WISHers. It takes a lot of courage to train again after being swept...great to see that you're doing it! Maybe DL will be the confidence booster that you need.

We're glad you're here too! Don't be a stranger!

Carrie..when are you coming to visit 'us' again? :rolleyes1
