Music: What are you listening to??

Rest in peace, Buster. Your biggest hit song along the way of your various pseudonyms was this snappy Hot, Hot, Hot. Seems like it falls somewhere between Celebration and the Cha-Cha Slide at most weddings. It does get the people up and dancing, having fun. Thank you.

A damn fine actor as well - the ghost cab driver in scrounge and an absolutely epic performance as Loony in Let It Ride.

Thanks, Jesse, for your music, it really did bring people together. God speed.

Jesse Colin Young of the classic rock band the Youngbloods has died. He was 83.

A representative for the guitarist confirmed the news of his death on Sunday, March 16, with PEOPLE.

"It is with deep sadness that we announce music legend Jesse Colin Young, who left a unique mark on the intersecting worlds of folk, blues, jazz, country, and rock & roll, died in his home in Aiken, South Carolina yesterday afternoon," the statement read.

"As the frontman of The Youngbloods, he immortalized the ideals of the Woodstock generation with 'Get Together,' an international hit that called for peace and brotherhood during the turbulent 1960s."

After the 1960s, Young grew his "audience and his artistic range." He released several solo albums that "mixed socially conscious lyrics with top-tier guitar skills and gorgeous vocals."

My Saturday morning ritual. Casey Kasems American Top 40. This morning from this week in 1974, which would have been the second semester of my Junior Year of High School. They just played number 36, and heeeeeeerrrreeee it is.

3 months into my return to regular workouts and I'm starting to shift into classical. After living in Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky over the weekend, I shifted to Orff this morning.
