Hi,

I'll be staying at the All-Star Music resort, standard room. Below is a list of items I need to use during my trip. Will I be able to get these for free at the resort (either request of find them myself)? Or will I need to bring them from home? Thank you very much!

- Paper plates/bowls (food court?)
- Plastic fork/spoon/knife
- Clothespins
- A pair of scissors (to cut the moleskin, nothing fancy but I can't bring on airplane)
- Lotion
- Kleenex tissues

Also, does anyone know how many microwaves they have in the food court? Do they have toasters?

You should be able to get some paper products at the food court...just not absolutely sure. Not 100% sure about bowls though. Plastic forks and such are okay there too.
Clothespins? I've never seen any.
Scissors? Nope, not at any resort I've stayed at. I have little folding scissors that I bring on the plane with me all the time. As long as they are a certain length, you can bring them.
Lotion won't be left in the rooms. You will get that at the deluxe resorts but not the values.
I can't remember about the tissues.
Maybe two microwaves. And yes, there are toasters.

If it were me? I would bring all that stuff from home. I just can't be bothered heading to the food court and lugging a bunch of paper plates/bowls/plastic flatware and such back to the room. I would bring all that stuff in my checked bag....clothespins, scissors, paper products, lotions.

Thanks for your help! I've been going over my Garden Grocer list and debating on what to buy. For breakfast, I can either buy bread and jam which I can just eat in my room, no toaster needed. But I'm more of a meat-for-breakfast person so if I order those pre-cooked sausages, I'll need to lug them from my room to the food court to use the microwave, so I hope they already have free supplies at the food court

Wow...impressive!! I don't even consider eating a breakfast like that when staying in a room without a kitchen/kitchenette!! Even when I had a one bedroom villa at BWV, and had a full kitchen! One morning, I made pancakes just because I could. But, for me? Not having to worry about cooking food is a huge part of the vacation. I always tell my dh that if he just took me out for two meals a day, we could have a 'stay-cation'!!!!

You will need to bring your own bowls and plates. They do not have them available unless you go thru the food lines and ask for them which would be disruptive to you and everyone waiting in line. There are plastic utensils available. They have large rolling toasters available in the food court. Usually 2 microwaves.

I don't think they have kleenex brand tissues but there are tissues in the room. There is no coffee pot in a value room, just in case you were counting on that being there.

I keep a clothespin in my travel bag at all times to use on curtains that won't close. Bring that from home. Scissors can go in your packed luggage. Or pre-cut the moleskin to fit your feet in areas you suspect to have trouble.

I wish you well on your vacation.

Thank you, all! :thumbsup2 I'll make some room for all these in my carry-on. And you're right, going through the lines just to get some plates would defeat the purpose of convenience and time-saving I was going for. As for breakfast, I guess I'll go with bread and peanut butter as to not being dependent on a microwave or toaster. Too bad, though, because it'd be cheaper to buy the pre-cooked sausages!

All Disney resort rooms have facial tissues. The quality just goes up the higher the resort level. ;)
