This was a Mother Daughter trip and I am just cutting and pasting from my pre trippie the introductions

HI, I am puggymom 41, pug lover , NY Jets fan and of course a Disney lover . I am the planner of this latest sojourn to Mouseland. Well, I am always the planner as those that are reading this are too, why else are you reading. I am also a Focker and my next trip after this is going to be the great Focker meet of 2008, see pre-trippie link in siggie
Me winning a dream fass pass last year
And now let me introduce Murph, aka my mom, 74. The woman who gave birth to me, took me to WDW in 1972 (where she lost me behind the castle ), DL in 1976 and didnt see the reason to go back to either one . See I am the only addict in my family. I do have a brother that has taken his kids a couple of times, but doesnt, GASP , plan anything, they just wing it. My other brother, well, 1972 and 1976 apparently were enough for him. See, I am the one my parents got right!
Murph with the pugs
Some things to know about Murph, she seems to act more and more like a teenager, can be extremely cheap, but then turn around and is very generous, particularly with her grandkids, and has some of the ugliest carry on bags you have seen. Just wait until I snap pics of her luggage. But she is also a saint. As some of you know my Dad was sick for many years, Mom stayed home and took care of him, hardly went anywhere as he was housebound. Because of this, Dad had the comforts of home up until the end. I cannot thank her enough for her sacrifices.
Now it is Murphs turn to have fun and boy is she. Last year she went to Hawaii, Vegas, Massachusetts and Greece. This year so far she has trips planned for, WDW, France, Massachusetts again, and a river cruise. Believe me she has earned every one of these trips, she is living her life again.
How did this trip come about you ask Last Easter as we were driving back from my brothers house and I was talking about my up coming trip to WDW, Murph said she would like to go to WDW. Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather. She has only been once since 1972, but that was in 1994 with me. We did have a great time, but yet again, she was like been there, done that. I know I dont understand that either. But, she is an animal lover and wanted to see AK and I think she was getting curious as to what her youngest child saw in WDW that compelled me to spend so much of my time and disposable income there.
So now when to go Murph, who was never a smoker, has emphysema from second hand smoke, her Dad and my Dad were pipe smokers. Now she doesnt have it real bad, but going when it was crowded or hot wasnt an option. I had never been in February and had heard how light the crowds were in the early part of the month. OK we will go the first week in February long before the President day week crowds.
Oh, but not so fast, is it ever that simple...
Now, thanks to the Dis, I learned that Mardi Gras was the first week of February this year. Uh-oh, that means that Ash Wednesday is that week too! Now Murph is a very devoted Catholic. If we are there Ash Wednesday that would mean losing a half a day of park time to go get her some Ashes. I made an executive decision and moved this trippie to the 2nd week of February, we would still be heading home before the worst of the Presidents day crowds.
Next up - it's finally time to go home!

, they are a blue mesh sort of thing, that are just the ugliest things, so I was grateful she didnt bring them.
I tossed and turned all night and finally at 4:30 I got up. I gathered the pugs up and got them outside and fed. Murph started stirring around this time so I didnt have to wake her.
) was 6:15. Shortly after 6 I went to load the bags in the car and noticed a sheet of ice on my car.
Normally I park in the garage, but I put Murphs car in the garage last night, I left the defroster on and went back in. Murph was ready!!!!!!
We said goodbye to the pugs and were on our way at 6:10! That's right we were ahead of schedule

at the luggage conversation.
