Has anybody seen this? It is so cute! At FAO Schwartz in NYC, they have a workshop to create your very own Muppet!
They call them a Whatnot. The tagline is "what's a whatnot? Anything you want it to be!"
You get a kit that includes colorform type samples of all the hair, eyes, noses, clothes, and body types to choose from. There are completed Whatnots around the workshop to show you what the body parts look like on the muppets.
DD11 played around with it for about 20 minutes, getting her Whatnot just right, then turned in a worksheet that had what she wanted checked off. The Muppet Lab workers created her Whatnot in about half an hour.
It looks like a real Muppet. She carried it all over the city and had "Bobo" interacting with everyone. It was a lot of fun - a perfect thing for any Muppet lovers out there!
