Well here it goes…Pre trip report so I have no excuse not to follow up with all the DIS folks when we get back!

After reading so many wonderful trip reports that have gotten me inspired for our trip I am happy to say that is has come time to start ours!
The cast:
Me :smooth: - likes to travel, over pack, and bring too many shoes. I am the official planner of this vacation. I made the reservations I picked the restaurants and flights. Everyone else just has to show up at the right time packed and ready for some fun. Made sure everyone had new luggage that matched and we now own enough Vera Bradley to open our own store! So if you are down when we are and see a large amount of Vera Bradley luggage it is probably me.

Mom :sunny: - Going with the flow of things. Let me plan everything even though I tried to get input on decisions. Is not going to like being hot, will dance in the rain if given the chance!

Sis- :Pinkbounc 21 just turned the big 21. This trip is to recelebrate her birthday. College Track star wants me to get up and run with her every AM. Likes to just have fun, again let me make all the decisions. Just wants to go and have some drinks and compete for the best tan. Sis will spend half the trip looking for gifts for friends and the BF

Back story-
Divorce is a horrible thing even at as young adults. We have found our selves a family of three now. I missed out on an annual vacation in March when things started to go bad so when it did not look like there was any good coming I decided we needed a vacation. I did my research and discovered free dining and well we could 1.Use some pixie dust from Disney 2. Free dining sure I will sweat a little but it beats eating hamburgers and French fries all week! So it was off to Disney we go I got the idea to stay at the YC because we had stayed at a lot of the resorts as a family and wanted somewhere new. Booked the trip got the flights started planning when the idea came to price out the GF. Well these girls disserve it so GF it is for five nights of relaxation, fun, and some frilly drinks Sis is 21 now after all!!! It is a bitter sweet trip to say the least, but i am glad i am giving mom and sis the chance to have some fun and have something to look foward to during this very difficult summer. Hope my trip report can amuse some or at least help you pass the time at work

As of now we will be in the world in 3 days ready for anything. Well almost ready no one is packed I have not decided if I should give in and buy some crocs and in general I do not know if we will ever be ready for this trip or what it will signify when we get back. All I can do is hope for some pixie dust pixiedust: to fall on us for a wonderful trip without any problems and upgrades if they may fall upon us I promise to pay it forward and do something magical for someone else!

So here we go get the popcorn:: out we tend to be an amusing group going to try to keep details on dining and drinking experiences also think we are going to try out parasailing or the GF spa so I should have lots to report back on.

Hope someone can be inspired and get excited about their own trip from reading ours as i have with so many trip reports on this bord!!!

"hey mum guess what...we are going to disney world!!!" :Pinkbounc

well i would like to report that we just returned from buying crocs so we are giving them a shot. i have picky feet that will be the test to these shoes.
time to get in some packing before treasure hunters comes on. who am i kidding i will not finish packing untill wednesday night ;)

Well once the idea was hatched the we needed a vacation I was into full on planning mode. Looked at all the options of where to go what to do and it was Disney that was in my heart. It had been about 7 years since mom and sis had been to the world as a family trip while i was in highschool and 4 for me. My last trip being with some friends from high school that does not count as a full trip to Disney too much drama.

Where to stay??? Well we have been a few times to Disney staying at CBR, WL and Poly. We wanted a new experience lets see construction at poly that might kill the atmosphere so lets go to the yc/bc. Ok guys YC it is but wait I can swing the Grand Floridian for a bit more and well we are worth is so it was a done deal. May 25th we book our vacation. I have never done Disney without at least 6 months or more of planning. I remember mom planning for a year. Now to take care of the details..
We have a rather old :dog2: who would not take lightly to being put in a kennel for a week. He is the reason we had not taken a vacation in about 3 years just could not leave him. Well sis’s BF offered to stay home with the geriatric K9 and take good care of our buddy while we are gone. Dog check!
Flights that is another issue lesson learned when you see a low price trust your instinct and go for it or you will end up using 2 airports and 2 airlines so as to not break the bank.
No one cares too much when and where we leave as long as we get there. My vacation plans as always out early back late. Flights Check!
This Disney planning is looking like a breeze, Magical Express will get us there. We conveniently have a family crisis in time to plan a vacation with free dining ( leaves more $$ for …adult beverages..) :rotfl:
Everything is going well until…….ADR’s wait where do we want to eat I need to decide now! :sad2:
Ok people here are menus…..did I mention they decided I could plan everything! So there I sat park hours firework times dining plan!!!! Ok confused and 100 calls back to WDW dine ok well it was not 100 but it felt that way. Finally things were set we had ADRs for Le Cellier Raglan Road Narccoossee’s Kona Café and Afternoon tea
I decide early on that we are not going to worry about credits I will pay for what ever is extra.
Ok ladies we are set do you want to see menus for where we are eating, want to see fact sheets about the resort, want to see info on extra magic hours…what nothing you want me to do it all, want me to be responsible for the amount of enjoyment and heart felt mother daughter bonding that is about to occur. :furious:
I will say this that planning things for everyone in the end takes some of the magic away. We are 2 days away I am getting a cold and can not bring myself to back anything. Mum and sis are all pumped and packing I am running errands and drinking plenty of fluids.

Well as of now we are set to go new luggage is packed rides are arranged puppy taken care of, right now I am just trying to find the Disney magic to get pumped about the trip I am losing my Disney steam it is stress or the cold I am getting but even these ridiculous crocs on my feet are not helping. :confused3 I am off to listen to some Disney music maybe that will help. I will finish off tomorrow as we get set for our 5am departure on Thursday because pre trip reports can be a bore you all want to get to the good stuff and I hope I can come through! Have a great day!
:thumbsup2
