March 15th (part 2): The best selfie of all time

After we ate lunch, the moment that I had been waiting for was finally going to happen.

BRING ON THE CHIPPIES!

We got in line and I freaked out because um duh. I love Chip and Dale. We all should know this by now.

And then I died when they came out.

When it was my turn, I asked them to take a selfie with moi. I promised da twin I would do this before we left and I don’t break promises. THE BCF SELFIE HAD TO HAPPEN.

And it came out to be the best pic of all time. Even though I have 8 chins. It’s casual.

We talked to Brenda for a little bit after I met my BCFs.

And then Mum got some food from the Cove because duh.

I don’t remember what that white thing in the front is but I think it was good and I do remember that the little tart was good. But the brownie was pretty dry and wasn’t that great. Very disappointing.

And then we went into the arcade because why not.

We got a card and then just played air hockey because we are obsessed.

We decided to go back to the room for a few.

I just loved these pictures that were near our cabin. They are so cute!

Mum was out when we got back LOLOLOL.

I woke her up after like five minutes because I wanted to go meet Donald and Daisy. So back up to deck 9 we went!

Minnie and Mickey were just finishing up their set. They were so cute!

Donald was adorable.

We are so cute.

Toy Story 3 was on Funnel Vision at this time. IN YO FACE, CARNIVAL

And then I got an ice cream. #pooh5k

We went back to the arcade so I could beat Mum at air hockey.

Brenda was in there so she took our pic. It was getting very serious.

And then I made myself a coke float. So TECHNICALLY, ice cream count: 4

After I ate/drank my coke float, we went down to Jackpot Bingo!

It was held in Fathoms. I loved the lights in there.

We got the $40 package, which has the electronic bingo thingy and the paper cards.

Mum got a drink before we started. I think it was called the shipwreck…? Who knows.

Of course, we didn’t win anything. No one won the $5,000 jackpot either so yeah. But it is a lot of fun! We always enjoy going.

When we got out, I saw Pirate Minnie meeting and I wanted to meet her so we got in line.

She was so cute.

I look like I have no eyebrows. Oh.

We headed back up to our room and got ready for dinner and stuff.

And then we went to go see Villains Tonight!

Now, I don’t understand why you can’t take pictures during the show. I guess that they film it or something…? I was pretty disappointed because I could’ve gotten a lot of awesome pictures but whatever. And I mean, I could just shut off my AF light but idiots probably don’t know how to do that.

But anyways… I LOVED this show. It was really good and I loved the singing and the storyline. It was probably my favorite out of the two we saw.

March 15th (part 3): What's for dinner? SNAIL!

After the show, we went down to Port Adventures to see about renting tubes for the day next day at Castaway. The crew member said that there wouldn’t be a problem with just getting one on the island, so if we waited, we would be fine.

We went to Shutters to look at our pictures and then to the gift shops.

I loved this design so much. I had to buy the shirt of it.

After we looked around, we headed to Lumiere’s for dinner.

Thank GOD they had the bandanas at our table. We never even got any in our room! Stupid stateroom hostess.

We were the first ones there. The rest of our table got there soon after. All of them had gotten off the boat that day and went to Atlantis. I guess they had a lot of fun.

Carolina and drink person came over and took our orders and stuff.

For my drink, I got the princess delight, which was really good.

For my appetizer, I got escargot. Now, I will eat anything, but I really don’t see the problem with eating snail. They drench it in butter and garlic anyways and that is all you can taste. If you like clams, snail is like the same thing. They just go right down your throat.

Carolina was very impressed with my order.

And no one at our table would try one because it was “disgusting.” Bunch of scaredy cats.

NOMS.

I got French onion soup next and so did Mum. That stuff was yummay.

And Mum and I both got the steak thingy. It was heavenly.

And then it was time for dessert!

Mum was all over the crème brulee. She loved it.

I got the peanut butter moose. I really didn’t like the texture. It was not for moi.

March 15th (part 4): PIRATES IN THE CARIBBEAN = moi falling apart

After we finished dinner, we went up to deck 9. IT WAS PIRATE TIME!

We got a spot up on deck 10 which was not a good thing but you will see why later…

PIRATES IN THE CARIBBEAN (Bahamas…) TIME!

AND THEN MICKEY CAME DOWN FROM ONE OF THE SMOKESTACKS UM WHAT. On the Dream, Jack Sparrow came down but MICKEY FTW. DCL doesn’t mess around, yo.

Oh and then fireworks started. It’s cool. No big deal. And I LOVED how there were other cruises in the distance. WE GET FIREWORKS AND YOU DONT, IDIOTS.

After fireworks get over, it is basically one giant dance partay which works for moi.

We are nuts.
And it looks like we are conjoined twins. Ok then.

We danced around on deck 10 for like 5ever and then we headed down to deck 9.

And btw, there are stairs from deck 10 to deck 9. So I went first and started walking down the stairs and I was dancing, walking in heels, and probably trying to take pictures at the same time.

So that all led to moi falling on my butt, hitting my arms and elbow on the railing, my heels on the edge of a step, and my thighs and back on a step too. And I fell down hard. Of course, I was trying to save my camera. Who cares about my own body. The bottom of the camera hit the railing along with my hands and the battery went flying. Thank god not off the side of the ship.

Some guy got my battery for me and then this idiot just walked right past moi up the stairs. WELL THANK YOU SIR!

My whole body hurt and I started crying. I was in pain and I needed to make sure my camera was fine. A crew member came running over to us and made sure I was ok and got me some ice. Thank you kind CM!!!!! Seriously, he was the best. He came over several times to help moi.

I sat down for about 20 minutes, and held the ice to one elbow because I hit it pretty hard.

After I was all set, we decided to check out the pirate buffet in Cabanas even though we were still full from dinner.

Whenever you go into a restaurant, they hand you a wipe and I was hoping that the crew member would understand and not give moi one because I was in pain for one, and for two, was holding ice on my elbow. But no.

We looked around, and we only got a piece of cornbread for some reason. But it was pretty nasty so.

We headed back down to the room and got ready for bed. I had enough fun and pain for one night.​

You have sucessfully shamed me for taking a far inferior cruise with Carnival last year (but to be fair, I just wanted to party on a boat for cheap ) and have made me long for a Disney Cruise. I think I'm gonna wait until the kids get a little bit older but it's defineately on the horizon in the next five years.

Yeah I know I haven’t done an update in about 10 years. Let’s just say the #dislife and homework has taken over my life.

Like, I can’t even tell you guys how many updates I have to do. I am not complaining by any means but oh my GOD. This is what happens when you #liveitup. I don’t recommend it.

March 16th (part 1): CASTAWAY CAY TIME! FINALLY!​

We got up at like 7 and arrived at CASTAWAY CAY at about 7:30!

How did I know that?

The giant fake palm tree.

Lovely, I know.

It took us barely any time getting ready because we weren’t getting all dolled up or anything so we were out of our room by like 8.

We went down to Lumiere’s for breakfast because Cabanas <<<<

Can I order from the kids menu cause CHIP AND DALE or

Our waiter was really nice. He was a little hard to understand sometimes, but not his problem. He took great care of us and we even saw him later on the island at Cookies.

Mum and moi both got the express breakfast. Everything was good; your basic breakfast food.

We both asked for a mickey waffle on the side and they came out with 3 for each of us. #poohsized

After we finished breakfast, we thanked our waiter, and then I took some pictures of the restaurant because I didn’t get to the night before.

Amazing.

We went back to the room to get our stuff for Castaway and then we went down to deck uno to get off.

Now, we had never been to CC before this. On Mum’s first cruise on DCL in 1998 on the Magic, there was a hurricane. And then in 2011 on the Dream, there was a hurricane. So we had never even step foot on the island and this was my 2nd, mum’s 3rd cruise. IT WAS FINALLY TIME!

After we met them, we walked to the main part of the island. You can take a tram, but yeah LOL NO. But at least the tram is 100000x better than the ones at the parks.

I am really not sorry for the amount of pictures. At all.

Now, the walk from the boat to like the main area is about 5-7 minutes if you don’t stop and take about 1000 pictures like I did. I COULDN’T HELP IT OKKKK.

Minnie had no line when we got up to the beach so I had to meet her.

AND THEN THE BEST THING EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THINGS HAPPENED.

MICKEY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND STARTED POSING WITH MINNIE.

AND I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE.

OH MY GOD.

I really should’ve asked them if I could have gotten a picture with moi and them together. But whatever. THOSE PICS ARE PERF.

After I died, we went to go check out the CC merch. And omg it was amazing.

After we checked out the shop, we went to go find a spot on the family beach for all of our stuff.

March 16th (part 3): Livin' that tropical life

This was the view from our spot on the beach. It’s casual.

Can I bring you home or

We went to go get floats and the float rental place thingy was like two feet away. Good for the #lazylife.

The floats are 10 bucks a piece, which isn’t bad. We got one for each of us and then hit da watah.

Now, they don’t mark the sections very well. You have the snorkel section which is right by the rocks and the only way you find out that is the snorkel section is getting yelled at by a lifeguard. Like we did.

So we had to move over to the swimming/float section, but with the wind, it would just drag us right back over to the snorkel section so we would have to get up every single time and drag our floats down like 10000 feet so we wouldn’t get yelled at once again. Fun times.

But once we actually got ourselves situated and in the right section, we just floated around. And I have to say, that is the most I have ever relaxed. Like evah. And surprisingly, I actually enjoyed it.

We floated around for about an hour and then headed back up to our spot.

This is the float rental place thingy. You can also rent snorkel gear and crap like that too. You’re welcome.
