August 6th (part 3): Lunch at Liberty Tree and SO MANY FEELS

We headed to Liberty Tree Tavern for our lunch ADR after we used the tangled terlets.

We checked in and got called in under five minutes.

I literally cannot remember what room we were in, it may have been Jefferson or something. We’ll go with that…

Michael was our waiter and he was nice. He got the job done and all. Nothing special though.

For my entrée, I got the colony salad which was really good. It was light and refreshing and it cured the rumbly in my tumbly, so it was all good.

Mum got the turkey and all of that stuff. She enjoyed it but she didn’t like the gravy.

And of course, the main reason we went to LTT, THE OOEY GOOEY TOFFEE CAKE OOOOH AHHHH.

JUST LOOK AT IT.

It was amazing but I thought it was going to be a little bigger. Oh well.

We paid and then headed towards Main Street.

The Main Street philharmonic was out so basically that was perfect.

BALLOON PORN!

We headed out of the park and took the monorail over to the Contemporary to get our car.

Of course getting our car was momentarily paused by pin trading.

We got the car, and headed home. And if you think I mean our “home” 35 minutes away from Disney, then you would be wrong.

I WAS REALLY HOME NOW.

Mum dropped moi off at the front with the luggage and she went to go park the car. I was basically like crying while she was gone because WILDERNESS LODGE FEELS.

OH MY GOD Y U SO BEAUTIFUL.

August 6th (part 4): The room at the end of the hallway (that sounds like a horror film or something...) and DISmeet time!

We checked in and our CM was very nice.

She said the only room that was open was one at the end of a long hallway, but we took it anyways.

We learned our lesson right then and there.

Tip: If you check in and the CM says your room will be at the end of a long hallway, WAIT FOR ANOTHER ROOM. At the end of the day, your feet will kill and then you have the longest hallway in the history of hallways to walk down to get to your room. And you will end up like moi and take off your shoes and walk barefoot to get to your room. I’m not kidding.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and down the hallway. It was awful.

Thank GOD the rooms are nice.

Tiniest bathroom on the planet.

Then I tried to get out on our balcony.

The door wouldn’t even budge. I unlocked it and then tried to tug it open. This went on for like 10 minutes.

Until Mum came up. She looked at it. And found the 2nd lock.

That would explain that…

WOW. Look at that VIEW.

I organized my pins and then we headed down to the lobby.

This. Was. The. WORST.

HI THERE PERFECTION.

My mother, of course.

We got a drink at Roaring Forks and THANK GOD Rapid Fill wasn’t live yet.

I pin traded, got a WL pin, and a WL shirt. Everything that I needed, duh.

Mum and moi chilled for a bit in the lobby and I wrote in my journal.

Then it was time to head over to the Contemporary so we could take the monorail over to the Poly.

I WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS.

I think we may have had to wait for another boat since there were tons of people waiting, but it was fine. We were getting over there one way or another!

UGH THE BEAUTY.

We got to CR and BOOM RAIN. #FloridaLife

We headed inside and headed up to the Contempo Café to get a little something for dinner, so we just split a cheese flatbread which was better than other Disney flatbreads we have had in the past.

Then it was monorail time so we could head over to the Poly. It was DISmeet time!

Since we got there early we looked upstairs in the gift shop and they had the MU shirt I was looking everywhere for. I finally found my size!

We strolled downstairs and looked around in the Wyland Gallery for a few. And then I heard “Meg?!” from behind and it was Pam aka PolyLover here on the DIS! She was going to be there the same time we were so we just had to meet up!

Pam had her two daughters with her and they were so cute. We all headed down to Captain Cook’s since it was DOLE WHIP TIME!

I found a table for all of us and we seriously talked for like 1.5 hours. Pam is so nice and I am so happy I got to meet her. She gave me some great advice for the coming school year and of course, we talked about Disney. Her and her kids were staying at AKL and got Magic Bands, which is awesome. They seemed like they liked them.

I had such a great time hanging out with you Pam and I hope we can meet up on your next trip. I mean, we have to since we never got a pic together. I totally forgot! Oh well.

We said bye and then Mum and I took the monorail over to Epcot.​

August 6th (part 5): Illuminations part 1

We took the monorail to the TTC so we could take it over to Epcot.

We got there and the turnstiles were CRAZYYYY.

Passed Future World we went right into World Showcase so we could find a spot for Illuminations.

We found a spot in Canada and of course, iPads everywhere. I just love them. At least none of them had a Coach case that probably cost $500. That is the best iPad I have seen lately in the parks.

Of course, if it isn’t an iPad then it is a child that is climbing up a light post and her father doesn’t tell her to get down or anything. CMs can be more of a parent than your biological ones.

I swear to God that happened. So what you should get from that is that people are stupid.

So yeah. Illuminations pictures. Took more than usual. Maybe over 250. Maybe not.

Just sit through the ridiculous spam since 95% of them came out awesome. And they may or may not be broken up into 2 chapters. You’re welcome.

Nice spot for Illuminations - though the globe did get a little blocked. Oh, and I am still waiting for the time I am trying to watch something a 100 Brazilian Tourists are holding up matching iPads blocking my view

August 6th (part 6): Illuminations part 2 and Y U HAVE NO GOOD CROISSANTS, FRANCE?!

Here are a few more Illuminations pictures cause I am ridiculous. Enjoy these and then we will move on to some actual commentary from moi. Just deal for a moment.

I swear to God that is it for Illuminations spam. For now.

We continued on into France to get a snack. Cause I am always hungry. Always.

Of course, we headed to the bakery and I got a chocolate croissant and Mum got crème brulee, which was really good. I tried some and it was delicious. On the other hand, my chocolate croissant wasn’t that great. It barely had any chocolate, like at all. I was pretty disappointed and have had MUCH better croissants. I am the croissant queen, let’s be real now.

We then headed out of the park because my feet were killing moi and we had an early ADR.

We got to the bus stop and a bus JUST left. So we had to wait for another to come but it came pretty soon after. It felt SO good to just sit. And thank GOD the Wilderness was first.

We headed straight to the villas and walked down the wonderful hallway. We got ready for bed and fell asleep. GOOD NIGHT DUDES.​

We had one of those LONG hallways at BWV last January. Thank goodness I had the scooter, because it was LONG. We measured with my iPhone and I swear it was like a quarter of a mile or something. So yeah - long hallways are a DRAG.

Wilderness Lodge is awesome though - so that makes up for the long hallway.

SO WHAT DOES creme brûlée taste like?! It makes an appearance ALL OVER frump TRs and I am curious.

August 7th (part 1): The chapter my twin will die over

We got up at 6:15. It was early ADR time!

And I was tired. I never even heard the wake up call. At all. And usually I do since that thing is LOUD.

We got ready and were out the door by 7:45 and headed down to the bus stop.

And waited for about 40 minutes.

I’m not even kidding. TONS of people were there when we got down there and were waiting about 10 minutes already. And um THE MAGIC KINGDOM IS THE CLOSEST PARK. We should’ve just driven over but you know if we got in the car then a bus would come. That’s what would happen.

Our ADR was for 8:35 and we were going to be late. It is pretty sad that we got to the bus stop 50 minutes before and MK is the closest park. Seriously.

People were going over to the CM that was there and asking him where the crap the bus was and he barely could give any information. He just kept saying that it was on its way.

Once a bus came at 8:25, we got on and it was PACKED. We got to MK, finally, and our stupid driver parked WAY far away from the entrance. THANKS A LOT.

So many people were there because of the welcome show so once we got through the turnstiles, we had to push our way through to make it over to the left side, when we were all the way over to the right.

It was almost quarter of nine so we basically ran down empty Main St so we could make it to our ADR.

But of course I had to stop every five seconds to take pictures, cause um priorities.

I should probably show you where we were going…

We checked in and the CM didn’t say anything about us being late so that was good. And we got called right away. CHA CHING!

We were seated on the left side of the restaurant, so that was a first. We are ALWAYS on the right.

Before we got food, Eeyore showed up! And I am in love with our picture.

Then we went to go get food before Pooh came. I was finished but Mum had a bunch of oldies in front of her that were so slow. I waited for her and we missed Pooh. I was freaking out cause that is what I do but he came back. Thank you Pooh!

Tigger was adorable.

Piglet was having a bad morning or something (or he saw the bacon). He literally took this pic with moi and left. Mum wanted to take a picture with him and totally got dissed. Oh no you didn’t, Piglet!

Eeyore came back around and I took this picture of his tail. You’re welcome.

Then a new Pooh came around and we took the CUTEST PICTURE ON THE FACE OF THIS PLANET. THE CUTENESS JUST KILLS MOI SO MUCH OMG.

We paid and the check took forever because of the MyMagic+ system. They just switched over I guess and everything was messed up.

Mum was being the cockroach while we waited.

We got our check, paid, and then had a mini photoshoot at the front of the restaurant.

Wow I'm really behind!!
We loved meeting you and your mum!!! I can't believe we didn't do a picture either, like "cheers-ing" our Dole whips but I think we all just dug in so fast!! We will be back for the Halloween party October 20th. Staying at the Polynesian.

Those pics on empty Main Street are amazing!!!! I've never experienced that before, shame you were running late for your ADR or you could've lingered (longer). You took great pictures (as usual!) at the Crystal Palace. I have a picture of myself at age 5 sitting in the entry area with the same floral fabric on the sofas that I believe is still there. Ahhhh nostalgia.
