We have just started making offers through various brokers.

Some haven't responded for ages and so we have lost a bit of interest. Is it ok to make further offers on other contracts? I don't want to get two offers accepted at once and have to pay both :)

Should you just be making one offer at a time?

Put a time limit on your offers. For example, "offer good until 5 pm Eastern on xx/xx/xxxx".

FWIW, I'd make one at a time unless I wanted more than one contract and was prepared to accept all offers made.

Thanks. I am going in so lowball at the moment I don't think they will be accepted anyway but good to know. I probably should have asked this before I started making offers :D

I do one at a time. That way I don’t have 2 offers accepted and have to back out on someone, definitely give a time limit though

I also do one at a time as well. Just so I can track what is where and also so I don't get 2 accepted together!

I've had two different brokers tell me it's ok to make offers with other brokers while I wait to hear from a seller. I felt like I was obligated if the seller accepted my initial offer, but they both said I was under no obligation. I'd rather deal with one at a time though.

From my experience if it’s a delay from hearing back from the broker, I found it best to call DVC Store to make an offer and offer online for DVC Resale Market. Fidelity took a week to come back to say a contract I offered online had already sold (not sure if their website is that up to date). I would also call fidelity to make an offer. I’ve not got any experience of any of the other brokers.

I have always done one at a time, My recent contract went almost the entire day without a word, I told the broker I would give the seller until 10 am the next morning to respond, or I was withdrawing and moving on,

She contracted me at 9:30 am with the counter offer, I sent mine back, and within a few hours...one spouse was at work...we had the deal,

So, if you are ready to move on, let them know you are, or give them a set time.
