I've looked a bit, but haven't found an answer.

Long story short we have an 8 day reservation at the end of the month. We already have our bag tags. Nothing out of the normal until now.
We have had something come up in the middle of our vacation back home.
So half way through, we have to leave disney to fly home for not quite 24 hours. We won't check out, we won't transport luggage.
Wondering if we can utilize it twice on one trip, even at an upcharge.
Obviously if we can't we'll either just Lyft it or use Tony Hinds for transport middle of the stay.
Lyft will be the quicker option, and with no luggage or need for a car seat might make more sense, but if magical express is an more economical option......

moral of the story.....never book a trip during your kids hockey playoff season.

No, your resort stay entitles you to one round trip on DME from the airport to your resort and from your resort to the airport. You'll have to decide how you want to use the two trips and which ones you'll use uber/lyft to get where you need to be.

Officially, no. As mentioned, you're only entitled to one round trip on DME. Given the nature of the situation, I'd suggest you call DME directly at 866 599-0951, explain the situation and ask them if they can help. They may not be able to, but it can't hurt to ask. And even though DME is totally separate from Disney, the folks there might have some pixie dust they can use.

Agree with the above, exceptions can be made. Last April I used DME for my original arrival and departure and was also able to ride DME again - a few days after our arrival to meet my mother in law who didn't feel comfortable traveling from the airport to the resort alone. I rode DME to MCO and helped her at the airport and then rode DME with her back to the resort. I was prepared to use a town car but I took the time to chat with the front desk CM about DME options and she printed the vouchers for me.

Personally going forward I would expect to have to provide my own transport but it never hurts to ask!

What about calling Disney Central Reservations (if you booked through Disney) and asking them to break up your reservation into a split stay, giving you two different confirmation numbers? That would give you two roundtrips on DME. They normally try to keep you in the same room for split stays; you can ask that they note that request. If that works, just notify Magical Express of changes in your plans, giving them your updated confirmation numbers, dates of travel, resort and flight info.
