Looking for a two night stay the week of Christmas, offsite, that would provide a "busy" atmosphere for our family of four with kids 10 and 12 as well as grandparents who have mobility issues. My wish-list would be Swan/Dolphin or Gaylord, but it's cost prohibitive. No parks trip.

Disney Springs or City Walk proximity could be good - not necessary, and also need easy enough access to Camping World Stadium and Amway. However, do not want to spend these two nights in downtown Orlando.

Last stay was Element Universal which was fun b/c of walking distance to Icon Park. Looking for new ideas!

Adding in - Marriott or Hyatt would be preferred to try to use points.

Look at Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista

Nice sized suites, great breakfast buffet with custom made omelets, evening reception with drinks and snacks, their pool and recreation areas are much more than usual the kids would love.

Only 5 minutes to Disney Springs and if you drive up Palm Parkway only 10+ minutes to Universal parking. Surrounded by lots of fast food or sit down restaurants. Great value there when using points.
