December 7: Ds woke us up with the first ray of sunlight, so we threw our stuff in the car and headed over to the BWI. It was pretty early, and we knew our room wouldn't be ready yet; but we wanted to get our park passes. Besides, Family #3 had already checked in there the night before, and Family #2 (who was staying at All-Star Sports) was meeting everyone there that morning. I got us checked in and got our passes, then ran into DW #3 in the lobby. When they checked in Friday night, they were given a handicap accessible room. She said it was wall to wall pvc pipe and had a roll-in shower (I never saw it). There was no way to bathe the 18 month old in the shower, and she said she really didn't want to pay that much to look at pvc pipe for a week on vacation (they own nursing homes, so she sees enough of that at work). The night that they checked in, they got moved to a room with 2 queen beds. Well, the baby sleeps with them at home in their king size bed. They had to split up for the queens, and she was afraid the baby was going to fall out of bed. Soooo.... she was in the lobby Saturday morning trying to get moved to another king room. They told her all that was available was a garden suite (a little over $600 for the stay). She took it. Well, as my dh listened to the description of the suite, his eyes were big as saucers! He wanted to get one too. Yeah DH!!! I was only a little bummed because when I went to do the upgrade, I found out we had already been bumped to concierge:rolleyes: .

None of our rooms were ready, so we all headed over to Epcot around 10:30. We went straight for a FP to TT. We did Spaceship Earth and messed around in Innoventions before going to do TT. After that we headed over to America for lunch and looking around. Next we did Norway and Mexico. After that we decided to head back over to BWI to see if our rooms were ready. They were! Wow! Those Garden Suites were awesome:D . The bathtub was unbelievable. We unpacked our stuff and got ready to head over to MK for Spectromagic.

We decided to walk back through Epcot since the kids wanted to ride the monorail. (Hey, we were up for walking since this was just the first day of our vacation!LOL) MK was an absolute mad house! I apparently had missed quite a few important posts here at the DIS, because I had no clue that was the day they were taping the Christmas Parade! We went to Toon Town and rode the Barnstormer and went through Mickey and Minnies houses. Then we went to get something to eat at Cosmic Ray's. After that we went to stake out our spot for Spectro. The boys (dh's) went to do Alien Encounter while we waited at our spot. I really do love Spectro! It was pretty much worth fighting the crowds just to see it! (I know there was one on Wed. too, but we had the Luau that night!)

Anyway, we got separated from our group after the parade, so we headed back to BWI on the bus. Found out later that the rest of the group took the monorail back to the TTC and Epcot was already closed! (I thought they already knew that!) They ended up taking a bus from Epcot's parking lot to the Swan and walking back to BWI.

Tomorrow: MGM......

A busy day for all - I missed specto this trip - there is a reason to plan another one - thanks for posting!

or for the length of stay (in addition to what was already paid?) Kudos on the "free?" upgrade to concierge. Life is sweet!

The suite was $415/night. We ended up adding Friday night to our stay; and that's what we were charged for one night.
