This has been one of the things I've been dreading, and I worry I may have put it off a little too long with vacation time so close.

Almost 3 years ago, I suffered from a bad run in with contaminated food, followed by extensive sun poisoning that covered over half my body. Probably one of the worst things to have happened to me so far (knock on wood!). The results from this have left me with... interesting insides.

All of the tests my GI and standard physician have done don't point to anything specific, but the after-effects of my event have left me with something resembling Crohn's Disease. Random foods trigger bloating, nausea, constipation, extreme heartburn and acid reflux, most with little to no warning. Over the last 3 years, I've narrowed down some of the things that trigger me more than others, but it's made eating... hard. Since the triggers came and went in waves, I've never really stuck to a 'perma diet' to keep triggers at bay, but lately I have started trying to go pure clean, healthy eating, and eliminating the things that trigger easier than others.

As of right now, I'm easing into a gluten-free, dairy-free, no red meat or pork permanent style of living. And with WDW coming up in less than a month, I realized I have no idea where/how to really go about finding places that can accommodate such different eating habits. Is there a list on here of places that work with allergies/sensitivities?

Gluten, milk, beef and pork free is a piece of cake (literally and figuratively LOL). I'm gluten, milk and pork free as well as other stuff free, both my kids are gluten, milk and a bunch of other stuff free as well. We eat like queens at WDW. I'm in the middle of writing up my dining review from the trip we just took in February so check it out for some recent info. I've got all my dining reviews linked in my signature.

I would definitely recommend sticking with restaurants owned and operated by Disney. They're much better able to accomodate lists of allergies.

WDW is very good with allergies that look at lot like your issues. I would just note that you are glutton/ dairy free and then order no red meat. Chicken/seafood is very available. You will do better at sit down but most CS should have some options. At sit downs you can order grilled chicken/fish, with salad and plain veggies or potato or whatever. I would not give a lot of information....just glutton/dairy free.

I agree with clanmcculloch.....those are a piece of cake to avoid in Disney. Is cross contamination a concern or is it only if you actually eat the food?

I am allergic to almost all the top 8 allergens (fish is the only one I can eat), plus some other random allergies. We went in December and I ate so well. I was stuffed after every meal and needed very few snacks in between.

Fish/seafood/chicken are all readily available at I think all the restaurants. And there are often vegetarian options as well. Honestly, I would just mark gluten and dairy as the allergies and work around the beef and pork unless cross contamination is a concern.

IME, basically all the restaurants in Disney will work with you and accommodate you. The only ones we avoid are the non Disney owned restaurants but for you, even some of those might be okay (gluten and milk avoidance seems to be pretty well know in most places)
