Mug Question -- not a bad one

Okay can I get a mug fill it and get on the bus to downtown disney. I would love to check in - send son to get mugs and then get on the bus for the DD.

Also does son need KTTW card to buy the mugs or can I just give him cash? I thought he could get them while I am waiting to check in.

Just give your son the cash to purchase the mugs while you check in. Then meet him in the food court, fill your mugs & head to the bus. The drivers do not stop you with a mug... have fun!!!

Actually, they ask that you do not eat or drink on the buses. Plus, you will have to carry the mug around after you finish what's in it.

Well if I don't drink out of it and have it covered can I bring it on the bus. I do that here (when I take the bus) as long as it is covered and we don't drink out of it.

We filled our mugs before we got on the bus (Pop Century). We didnt have any problems. After the mugs were empty, we just unhooked our fanny pack and thread part of the clasp through the handle. This way we didnt "carry" the mugs. Worked well for us.

They probably won't say anything about having a mug on the bus. I often have bottled sodas when I'm there.

The only time a driver mentioned the food was when we go on with leftover ice cream from beaches & cream. He was worried it would get split I quess they clean their own busses.

I have never been asked to not have my mug on the bus. I have been doing it for years. I get my coffee & go on the bus. I have my mug with me for the day, sometimes I keep in on the belt of my fanny back or take a baggie so I can wash the cup in one of the bathrooms & carry it in my back back (in the baggie so my back back stays dry & mug stays semi-clean). This way when I get off the bus, I stop at the food court & get my drink for on the way back to the room.... I have seen many many people with the mugs on the bus, as well as water bottles. Food, now that is a different story, I really cannot say that I have ever seen anyone eat on the bus.

Can you get the mugs at the Shades of Green? If not can you get a mug at the parks?

Every morning, we would fill the mugs after breakfast and head out to one of the parks. We always had them on the bus and never had anything said to us about it. We always had a stroller and a backpack as well, so we just shoved them in there when we were done with them
