Much to do about nothing??

I have been lurking here for awhile, not much posting. Needless to say, I was very concerned about making ADR's today, which was my 180+ day. Read many stories on this board that made me quite sure there was no way we would get CRT, etc.

Well, we called first thing this morning, got through immediately with zero hold time, and got every reservation we wanted, including CRT for 6 people.

Then, a couple hours later, we decided that we wished we got CRT a little earlier. I called back, and said, "Is there anything ealier than 9:00 am for breakfast that day"? The CM replied with, "Well, I can get you an 8:30, 8:20, 8:15, or 8:10".

So, did i just get lucky? Don't get me wrong, we are very glad we got the ADR's, but I think this board got us into a panic that maybe wasn't necessary.

Anyway, best of luck to all making the reservations. I'll just chalk it up to good luck. If only the rest of our trip goes this smoothly, we'll be set.

I am happy for you!!!! Unfortunately, we have to take CRT dinner because they were totally booked for brkfst and lunch on ALL the days we will be there.

Maybe you just picke those magical dates where everything is available!!!

Maybe Friday the 13th is your lucky day, but I'm guessing that part of your luck also has to do with when you are going. 180 days from now is value time between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, right?

We were able to get CRT for breakfast about 5 weeks out from our June trip. I had to call 4-5 times but we were able to get a 9:50 am reservation so we were pretty excited. I was thinking that it would be impossible.

We were able to get all of our other choices on the first phone call with no problem.

A party of 6 seems to have an easier time than others - say a party of 5, 3, or 2. Don't understand it, but it just seems to be that way. Enjoy !! Your work is done!!

I hope I am that lucky when I go to book the CRT breakfast in January...this is going to be a must do because we are taking our 2 nieces.

Chalk it up to a bad economy! We're only a party of two but always have trouble getting in, haven't tried recently though! Last month when we were there the parks slower than we've seen in a while.
