At first, I made a reservation for 3/2 @ 5:45 for a small birthday dinner at Tokyo dining. My 10 year old loves sushi and Japanese food, so I was happy to make the reservation. Then, my sister and her husband said they would love to join us. It was no problem expanding the reservation. Then, my brother and mother, and sister in law thought it sounded like too much fun to pass up. This count (including kids) made the party a total of 10. WDW DINE said they could only made a ressie for up to 9 people. The operator gave me the direct number to Tokyo dining. The lady who answered the phone was great. She took down the info (including that I asked about a cake for 10) and my phone number and said the manager would call me back.
Only one hour later, the manager called and confirmed the total number in the party and offered us a special chocolate cake with Tinkerbell (my daughter's request) for 10. He said the cake would only be $32. Yippieeeee
After reading some of the cake prices on the cake chatter thread, I was worried that I was only going to be able to afford the $21/ 6 inch cake.
Tokyo dining's staff ROCKS.
