MTTMM - Wednesday, March 12 - Were You There???

Looking DESPERATELY for anyone who might have been at Toon Town Morning Madness on the 12th of March - My family was the family of the day, and since we were by ourselves, we have absolutely no pictures of us on the podium with the Mayor and Mickey etc. If you happen to have been there (or know someone who was) and have a pic of us, please let me know! I would love for someone to email it to me so I can have it for our scrapbook! Thanks a ton!!!

That's the bummer of being the family chosen during MTTMM, that there's no record of it!

tyandbash, we were chosen b/c of my son. My son was in full (for him) pirate and Mickey regalia, and went running into ToonTown...saw Mickey Mouse and was running towards him, then saw the Trolley and instantly veered off towards it. The CMs in charge of finding the family saw him, and went over to DH who was standing at the trolley (we had separated while I went to park the stroller, I think), and by the time I got over they had asked DH if we wanted to be the family. They took DS off with them (we were following behind) and told us where to sit, etc. It was fun, but for us, as soon as we said where we were from (after the song and dance thing and after being introduced to Mayor Mickey) the skies opened up and it started pouring, so everyone ran to shelter (Mickey's house).

Oh, also, in case you don't know, MTTMM is a little thing they have in ToonTown for people with vouchers (gotten when you book a package through disneyland.com, or Costco, or AAA), though sometimes people give them (there's a whole thread here of people giving their vouchers to people who want to use them) or even sell them on ebay. TT is opened an hour early 4 days a week, there's a very small parade, and it can be a good way to get autographs of Mickey and friends before the rest of the park can get into TT.

Thanks! I hope we get lucky and find someone - We were chosen right after we got in, the kids had just gotten autographs and pics with Pluto and we were approached! Our kids thought it was so great to get to be in front of everyone!! I was a little embarrassed (not into standing up in public ) but it was fun and a nice memory - we are framing our certificate to hang in our Disney family room!

That certificate...the bummer for us is that when they asked for my last name I didn't know it was for a certificate. Both hubby and I kept our last names, and DS is hyphenated...so just having MY last name on the certificate does not make for an inclusive thing. Oh well. I should have realized.

And now I'm telling anyone who reads this thread...if you have untraditional (for America, at least) last names and you're chosen for this, let them know about your names.


They should have photopass photographers for it, don't you think? At least then you have the option of getting the pictures!

Wish I could help but we won't be at DL until May. Just wanted to say Congratulations though.

I also think they shoud have someone available to take pics - either a PhotoPass photographer, or a CM with a disposable camera they could give you at the end of the ceremony. At least you have a certificate to prove you were the FotD, but photos would be a great way to relive the moment!
