MSN cancelling chat rooms.

Did you see what MSN is doing?
It is shutting down the chat rooms, starting in Europe. MSN said they feel responsibility for our children and they are taking the necessary steps to protect them. Long story, go to MSN.com to read it.

I gave up on chat sites long ago. My kids and I mostly use MSN Messenger which MSN will leave alone. How long though will it be before Messenger and boards really start getting restricted. Honestly, I find more information on boards, than if I had a magazine. Same with messenger, my family is saving a ton of money in phone bills (talking with each other with messenger). I feel as though I have communicated and found out tons of stuff on boards and the internet in the last 5 years, then I did my entire life.

Aren't message boards like the DIS different from Chat rooms? I don't consider them the same. I've never been in a chat room in my life, so I don't know. Also, I think today's teenagers are way too connected to the internet, so anything to slow it down has my support.
