Got up around 8:30 am and had breakfast in our "villa" and set about going to Downtown Disney. I was a little torn. I wanted to go to the Magic Kingdom because I found out about a week ago that SpectroMagic would only be held on Monday and Saturday during the time that we would be here. (Another suggestion from the Dis Boards said that if you have a chance to go earlier in the week, go because anything could happen, i.e. rain) We decided to chance it and went to DD.

It was nice. We went to World of Disney and bought Mickey light up toys for the kids, a visor for dd, and a hat and Grumpy golf shirt for dh. I used my DC discount--which was a definite plus.

We then went to the Lego Store. Took lots of pictures--several with the "snoring man." The kids and dh played in the "lego pits" for awhile. I watched them from the airconditioned entrance of the store. Later we had lunch at the overpriced McDonald's next door. After that, we headed back to the Lego Store so that dh could build the ultimate lego car. I took my perch in the store entrance. (I have high blood pressure and the medication that I take states that I am not supposed to be in direct sunlight for long periods of time. After that day, I didn't take my medication for the duration of the trip.)

Anyway, we made our way to Ghiradelli's for icecream. The kids had cones, I had a rootbeer float (the best that I have ever had) and my dh had a delicious looking sundae--I forget the name that they gave it.

Afterwards, we went to the ESPN store. We bought the kids some balls and then headed back to VV to get ready for our ps ressies at the Grand Floridian.

We got there a little late and it was my fault. I told my dh not to pay for the valet parking--big mistake. The parking lot for the GF is some distance from the actual hotel. When we got to the podium, ten minutes late, the hostesses seated us quickly. I am so glad that we arrived when we did, because a large crowd came in several minutes later.

The food here was okay. The key lime pie was delicious. The characters made several stops by our table--especially Tigger. My dd showed off her Winnie the Pooh outfit proudly.

The walk back to the car was a good thing. It was good to walk after a large meal. We headed back to VV to get some rest.

Tomorrow, we hit the Magic Kingdom!!

My goodness...are you really me? LOL Just kidding. :) I take medicine just like that and boy it is a pain sometimes. I really understand where you are coming from. Now on to the GF.. we did the same thing with parking only it was about 38 degrees when we took that long trek from the self parking lot. My new rule...take vallet if you have a chance. :)
Sounds like your dh and kids had a great time at Lego and that your day was good all the way around.

Sounds like a great day all around :D . I loved going to Downtown Disney during the daytime because it was very uncrowded. By night, it was wall to wall people and not nearly as much fun. We really enjoyed our meal at the Grand Floridian -- especially the desserts :D .

Hello Kuzco (love the name btw)

1900 Park Faire is the restaurant located in the Grand Floridian Hotel/Resort. I'm not sure about breakfast and lunch, but dinner features a character buffet with Winnie the Pooh and Friends.
