MSEP to end Oct. 9 - Parade moves to Disneyland for a "limited time"

MSEP will end its run on October 9, moving to DLR for a "limited time". No word on when that will start. Keep in mind, it was supposed to be at WDW for a limited time as well. No word on if Paint the Night will be moving to WDW, as it ends its DLR run on September 5.

Thoughts?

ETA: WDW, as of now, has said there are no plans to bring PtN to MK or any WDW theme park. Obviously, that could change, but that parade will return briefly for the holidays at DLR later this year. Beyond that, no more is known about the future of Paint the Night.

Still remember the first time I saw, my DS age 1 on my shoulders jumping up and down to the music.

They did improve the quality of the floats after Spectromagic came out but the music ........ about as loved by me as Small World.

Only loss I see is the folks who watched it will now be in line for attractions with me.

Ooops did I say that out loud.

So it seems like MSEP will debut early next year and only then a Paint the Night move to WDW would be a possibility. Long story short: PtN won't be coming to WDW until at least next spring.

What's gonna happen to everyone who has a Tony's package booked? Think it will be replaced with something else of just made to be a regular reservation? I don't really want to do lunch there without the added benefit.

As would I! Unfortunately, the floats were deconstructed in 2013 after Disney confirmed the parade would indeed never return. I've long heard rumors that the floats were in such disrepair that it would've been far too costly to bring the parade back. That said, I'll take Paint the Night!

If you read the second DPB post closely, at the very end, they briefly mention Paint the Night will have a brief run during the holiday season this year. My guess is, if it's moved (which is still a big if), it won't be until early next year.
