MSEP extended at Disney World :-(

Disney Parks Blog just posted that the Main Street Electrical Parade will continue at the Magic Kingdom past the previously announced August 14th end date. Good for them, bad for us.

I wonder if they'll have it there in December? I haven't seen it in a few years.

How sad! I had read previously that it would be back at DL for the holiday season and was hoping to see it. It is by far my favorite Disney parade. I think i have more pictures of that than anything else.

Very sad! I was really hoping to see it in Dec. I haven't gotten to see it in a few years and I really wanted DD5 to get to see it. She loves watching the video they made in the mid 90s when the parade was "glowing away forever" at least the parade was brought back at all.

That is sad I miss the EP. I'm tired of Pixar Play and I won't even begin to comment on the "Celebrate! Street Party" thing.

I had heard..and I am trying to remember the source...MiceAge perhaps... that the loan of the MSEP to FLorida was to be for no more than two years. The parade was loaned due to the continued construction at DCA. But I also heard on a podcast that when the parade returns to CA, and it sounded as if it would be sooner than two years, it would be to Disneyland, not DCA. I think that it was Jim Hill providing the second piece of information. I know not very helpful, but I recall that both sources were generally reliable even though the infromation was somewhat contradictory.
