Today I called MS to add names to a reservation. Since August I had been piecing together a ressie for the F&W 1/2 Marathon. I had lots of points to play with so I was hedging bets left and right. At 31 days out I had to cut bait, and kept 3 days OKW HH plus last day just OKW and left the wait list in place to 7 days out. That expired and I had never seen it come up since then, so were resigned to moving. (Thought there was a small chance I could ask to give up the HH at check-in and see if it were possible to get 4 nights same room, but wasnt really hoping at this point).
Anyway, I had to add names because with so many potential ressies early on I just did it all under my name, but the family is coming too. When I called today I asked if the could link my first 2 ressies (nights 1-3) as they were separate numbers. Became a tad concerned when the CM said she needed a supervisor. Became panicked when I refreshed during the long wait and saw half my ressie gone along with another room for 1 night booked as a different size. I may have even whispered a small swear word into the music on the phone at that point!
MS came back on line and said it was all handled. Told her I was slightly concerned. However, voila! she said they had been cancelling and rebooking me into the HH category for the entire stay under one reservation number and...no moving needed!!! I really felt MS pulled a rabbit out of a hat today and am so appreciative. We leave in a couple of days for my birthday trip and first 1/2 Marathon!!
