MS gave me a waitlisted day I didn't ask for

I am wait-listed for one day in December and I decided to check DVC online to see if it came through yet. Yep, a day came through. . . but not a day I asked for! :confused: .

I really wish you could see what days you are wait-listing for online! The points are borrowed and now cannot be put back. This isn't a huge problem if my initial day does come through.

The woman at MS was not very nice either. :confused3 .
 
When you called, did you confirm the actual day you're waitlisting for? And if you got a "non-Disney" type on the phone, why not call back and see if a nicer one can help you out, since it seems to be their error, not yours? :goodvibes

(Yes, there are some non-Disney people working at Disney............:sad2: .)

I 100% agree with you! Why cant one see their waitlist online or at least receive an email or something:confused3 Especially now that they are auto confirming the waitlist. You can confirm while on the phone, but I've had waitlist confirmed by MS and then the next time I call It's gone or incorrect.:confused3
 
I am very waitlist adverse - it's one of the primary reasons I am not anxious to try out a non-home DVC resort. (We travel during peak times for DVC and I don't want to move either. I admit I've become spoiled, lol).

Anyway, if I ever get over my "waitlist paranoia", I will be calling MS back the next day (late afternoon) and asking the CM to tell ME what the computer has for my waitlist. Yes, I know it is an extra call, but there are just too many reports of the MS CMs getting things wrong lately for me to want to assume anything.

It would be nice if the waitlists were listed on the website. If anyone who uses the waitlists on a regular basis ever asks MS if it's being considered as a website enhancement, please let us know! (I'm embarrassed to ask since I have yet to use one, LOL).
 

I completely agree! I had some wait-list mix-up too.

I spoke to MS last week to extend our stay :cool1:. We staying at AKV for 5 nights and then adding on 4 nights at the beginning. I wanted to try another resort since we're staying for 9 nights but the ones I wanted were full. I booked a AKV standard view studio and asked to waitlist a BWV standard view studio, since it was the same point value... and we had to borrow points.

I had a sneaking suspicion that something was wrong, so I called a week later to double check and found out that I was waitlisted for 2 studios at BWV BW View, and also one studio at VWL and at BCV.

So strange! I understand being able to waitlist several resorts, but I never asked for that. I just wanted BWV standard view.

The woman I spoke to sounded a bit confused and was not able to explain the wait-list to me very well. I wanted to know about the changes...

Oh well. It's all fixed now.
