MS closed for a special event

Does anyone know why MS closed at 2 today? The recording says it's for a special event.

I think it is ridiculous that they close MS and without any notice to members. We have events at work and we don't shut down our business. We schedule multiple events for different shifts of workers. I would have been PO'd if I had something important to book today rather than just a question. Unacceptable!

I wanted to book something :rolleyes1 called at 2:07 to find they closed at 2... I'm not happy about it.
 
Well before you get all hysterical....

At least a few times the "event" has been that Disney IT crashed the system and knew it would take them all day to "fix" it. So Disney let everyone leave rather then listen you us YELL at them about the system being down LOL!
 
The current AKV offer expires Sept 20th so the timing is right for having the Guides get the info for the next offering. Usually there is a few days between the "announcement" of the new offer and when it takes place.
MY guide told me to call him this week.

Or the proverbial "system upgrade" in which case, expect the computers to be acting up for weeks.
 
Per the guide we talked to at Doorway to Dreams Saturday, there is a big "town hall meeting" today that all CM's will be attending, he hinted that if they were going to announce BLT, this would be the time and place they would do it.

Not sure if there is any truth to that at all... just what he told us!
 
I played phone tag with my guide today and he left me a message that they have a meeting from 3-7 today they do it once a year. it actually makes sense being that it is close to the end of the fiscal year. I am doing an add on this week so I will talk to him more tommorow.

I think you were right. When I went to the members' website this morning to check on my waitlist, I found the following message:

We are currently unable to access your Disney Vacation Club Membership information while we perform scheduled system activities.

I think they were unexpectedly forced to begin their "scheduled system activities" a bit early! ;) :)
 
It could have, but I bet when you call today MS knows exactly what's in the press release. LOL!

They don't need to be trained on pricing etc...... And you can't book these things until who knows when so that trainings months away too. Developer points they already understand!
