I'm going for my MRI this morning. This will tell me if I have no more lesions in my brain. What these people don't know I was always off the mark anyhow. I go in and they always tell me I am the only one that doesn;t come in with anything metal on, no bra, no earrings, nothing, jeans and an oversized sweatshirt. This way I dont have to get undressed and put on a johny. Argh, I didn't even drink coffee this morning so I wouldn't get in the tub and have to P. I'll just pretend I am in Sace mountain when it is so dark. Thanks for letting me rambl, I am out of here. Have a good day everyone:D

Good luck, Gail. I hope everything turns out well. Keep up the positive attitude.:)

Best of luck to you, Gail! I know that MRIs can be very nerve-racking, but you will be fine!

Best of luck Gail. Although not painful, those MRIs are just no fun. And of course we are always fearful of what the results might be. :(

I am very fortunate, the hospital where I go for my MRIs is pretty casual about things. They make sure that there is nothing metal in my hair, no jewelry on, etc., but I do not have to take off my bra or anything. I just go in, get the IV, lay down, and off for the BANG, BANG, BANG, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK. The LAST time, they gave me headphones tuned to the radio station of my choice. That was kind of helpful.

Here's hoping for NO new lesions! :)

Good luck Gail. Please let us know how it truns out. Big hugs!

Pixie Dust coming your way and a big hug!

Hoping and praying for good results for you, Gail. Don't forget to update us!

Good luck Gail. I hate those stupid MRI's. I always feel like someone's science project when I go for them. Let us know how you did. :D

Thanks everyone. I will know in about 4 or 5 days if I have any active lesions in my brain. when I got there a lady sat down beside me with a heavy duty walked. she started talking to me, tell me how she has MS, Holy toledo, I didn't want to hear all she told me. Everyone is different so i kinda blocked her out. The nurse could se I was nervous so she bought me in the back room with her. I felt like a kid but she did make me feel better
:D

Good luck with this, Gail. Let us know how it goes. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie.

I hope everything turns out okay Gail.

I have had several MRI's and I always have a hard time lying still... when I'm having it I have to really suppress the urge to scream "blaaaaaaaaa" and jump around! So far I have resisted the urge!

Good Luck, Gail. My DH goes through the same thing to see if he has any more lesions.

Hope everything turns out well, Gail.

Have you ever considered going to a place that has an Open MRI machine? I went there the last time and it was SO much better. I'm not a claustrophobic person, but the old MRI's make me want to scream and run!

This time I did take the open MRI. The lady that was doing it told me alot of people can't even handle that. To me it was a piece fof cake, she wasked me what I think about when I am laying there. This time it was a no brainer, I had the 3 kids that survived the airplane crash and lost there mom, dad and other brothers. That makes my MRI, my MS and any other things I encounter in a given day seem so trivial. :D

Let us know how your results come out Gail. I've got to schedule mine within the next month or two. This will be only be my third time but other than having to constantly pee I don't mind. My neurologist said that if my MRI's come out the way they did last year and continue for the next three years that I may be able to come off my meds! Trying not to get my hopes up....

Hoping the results are good, Gail, my prayers are with you for good results. My best wishes.

Dan

Some of the new short-bore MRI's (like the kind my company manufacturers) are actually less confining than a traditional "open" MRI. I routinely volunteer for scans here at work and I would consider myself slightly claustrophobic. It was during one of these free exams that I found out that I have a herniated disc. So I went for a "real" MRI. The local imaging center had a 10 year old 0.3tesla open MRI unit. I was much more uncomfortable in that machine than I was in any of my volunteer scans at work. Just because the sides were open, it didn't feel all that open to me. And the image quality of an open MRI is not as good.

Hope your MRI results are good too Gail. I know how hard the waiting can be.
