Mr. and Mrs. Weak Sauce Go the Distance (a completed Disneymoon TR!)

I'm going to guess Pirates of the Caribbean? I love the Cropped ones. It's amazing how much I never even notice while at WDW!

I wish I had enough mental ambition for the Character Scrambles :lmao:.

Round 14: Cropped

Where was this picture taken? Remember, only one guess per person, and no editing posts! Good luck!

I'm going to say the Jungle Cruise queue

Round 14: Cropped

I think that is on the Great Movie Ride. That whiskey sounds familiar.

Isn't AKL amazing?! Don't forget, we own DVC at Kidani if you ever want to go back! ;)

I love your AKL pictures! It's such a beautiful resort, every time I go there I'm amazed by how stunning it is! :thumbsup2 It must be so wonderful to have a savanna view room, but I almost feel like if I ever stay there and have a savanna room, I'll never want to leave! I love watching giraffes so much, and if they are right outside my window, forget it! :rotfl: That's so cute, how they just go right up to the CM's to eat!

AKL looks lovely! I'm so glad that you were enjoying your honeymoon resort so much, and that you got to take the time explore and appreciate it!

I'm gonna guess BTMRR. (my other guesses were already guessed! :lmao:)

Love your trip report, and congratulations on your wedding.

No better place to spend a honeymoon than at Disney!! :goodvibes

Wow, you're right, AKL is gorgeous! Another resort to add to the "must-stay" list. I am leaning towards trying for WL or BC for our next trip **fingers crossed for a good bounce back offer**, but I am definitely more interested in AKL after seeing the way you have captured it!

To answer your question from before, no, we have not eaten at Boma before, but I really think it is the ADR we are the most excited about. We have not really eaten anywhere, as my DH has only been to Disney once on a band trip, and I haven't visited since my last trip with my family in '99. So really, we haven't eaten anywhere! That's why we are so excited about our upcoming Disneymoon (and why we are already planning our next trip for August of 2013!:lmao:)

Haha, thanks! I thought about that, but I think it'd be too difficult to manage more than one report at once! With the school year about to start in about a month, I have to get moving on this one!

Animated or live characters from Disney!

Round 14: Cropped

Round4.jpg

Where was this picture taken? Remember, only one guess per person, and no editing posts! Good luck!

I'm going to guess Big Thunder Railroad Mountain. Looks like it is from there. :)

Cropped guess: Definitely The Gangsta Scene (I think its Public Enemy technically) in the Great Movie Ride.

Isn't the AKL beautiful! There is just so much detail to check out- you could spend a whole week just there!

I love your purse you are carrying. What kind is it? I'm thinking of getting a new one for our honeymoon but might use my hipster purse instead.

I love the atmosphere at Animal Kingdom Lodge!

We were actually staying at Kidani Village for the very first time probably just as you guys were nearing the end of your vacation. I don't remember your dates, but I had seen things on Facebook and knew you were there around the same time we were arriving. We checked in May 27.

So exciting being on your very first vacation with just the two of you! :goodvibes

I'm just loving all these AKL pictures! I've never seen it in person and it looks gorgeous! :)

Cropped guess: Great Movie Ride in the Western Scene.

I love that you donate your hair! I just donated mine this morning as well. It was my 4th time to do it. I just love donating it, but as I get older I am starting to like my hair shorter!

Thank you for sharing your Disneymoon with us...it takes me back to ours!

It's not the right answer, but it's a good guess! Yeah, there really are SO many details in those parks! It just baffles me sometimes.

Haha, Google can always be your friend with Character Scramble.

I'm going to say the Jungle Cruise queue

Good guess! The boxes do look like they could fit there.

Round 14: Cropped

I think that is on the Great Movie Ride. That whiskey sounds familiar.

YOU GOT IT! It is the Great Movie Ride. Weak Sauce Point for you!

Haha, I will definitely keep that in mind if, as I said on FB, you end up not going 3 times in one year!

I love your AKL pictures! It's such a beautiful resort, every time I go there I'm amazed by how stunning it is! :thumbsup2 It must be so wonderful to have a savanna view room, but I almost feel like if I ever stay there and have a savanna room, I'll never want to leave! It really is a beautiful resort! I can't imagine what it'd be like to wake up to giraffes in the morning! We had so much fun watching them, but in the long run, it was better that we didn't have a savanna view. I appreciated being so close to the bus stops! It was nice that we could just head to any viewing spot to get a view though.

AKL looks lovely! I'm so glad that you were enjoying your honeymoon resort so much, and that you got to take the time explore and appreciate it!

I'm gonna guess BTMRR. (my other guesses were already guessed! :lmao:)

I think AKL will always be special to us because it was our honeymoon resort.

Good guess!

Love your trip report, and congratulations on your wedding.

No better place to spend a honeymoon than at Disney!! :goodvibes

Thank you so much! I agree! When people asked where we were going for our honeymoon, most people knew it was Disney even before we answered because it only made sense for us. There were still a few who were like, "Disney World? Really?" I guess they never fully experienced the magic!

Wow, you're right, AKL is gorgeous! Another resort to add to the "must-stay" list. I am leaning towards trying for WL or BC for our next trip **fingers crossed for a good bounce back offer**, but I am definitely more interested in AKL after seeing the way you have captured it!

It's definitely worth the stay! I know people complain about its distance from the parks, but I didn't have any issues with it. Maybe it was because we had never stayed on property before so wherever we stayed, it was always awesome to just get dropped off at the front and not have to park.

Mmm, I can't wait to see what you think about Boma! It was so wonderful. When I mention Boma or Sanaa, I start fantasizing about eating there once again!

I'm going to guess Big Thunder Railroad Mountain. Looks like it is from there. :)

Good guess!

Cropped guess: Definitely The Gangsta Scene (I think its Public Enemy technically) in the Great Movie Ride.

Isn't the AKL beautiful! There is just so much detail to check out- you could spend a whole week just there!

Yup, you're right! It is the gangster scene from the Great Movie Ride. Unfortunately, Jen guessed earlier. Good job though!

If we were going to be relaxed at a resort, I'm glad it was AKL. I don't think a resort with a lot of busyness like on the Boardwalk would really make sense for the Disneymoon that we wanted.

I love your purse you are carrying. What kind is it? I'm thinking of getting a new one for our honeymoon but might use my hipster purse instead.

Thanks! It's a LeSportsac bag. The style is called Madison, and the print is Paprika. I bought it about 2 years ago from Zappos because they were the only one that still had it in that print. I love it because I don't have to hold on to anything when walking around the parks, and I don't have to take it off and put it down in front of me when getting on rides. I used to just use a Nike drawstring bag, but it was annoying not having access to everything. I like being able to just pop my camera in the bag or pull out our tickets for FP whenever I need it.

It's wonderful! We were there at the same time!!! We didn't leave until the 29th! That stinks. If we had known, we could've met up!

I'm just loving all these AKL pictures! I've never seen it in person and it looks gorgeous! :)

Even with the pictures, I don't think anything compares to actually seeing it in real life. It's always an incomplete look!

Yup, you're correct with the cropped guess!

Thanks! I don't often find others who donate their hair too, at least not as a common thing. Good for you for doing it! Haha, I am suddenly understanding the draw of shorter hair too, but then again, it is really hot in the summer!

So glad you've joined in for my Disneymoon adventures!

I love your wanderings around AKL! I have only made it over there once and it was the evening I hit the wall on that trip and as much as I wanted to look around and enjoy, all I could think of was getting back to my resort and crawling into bed. I definitely need a do over!

I don't see the hidden mickey...help!

The science teacher in me needs to let you know those sun rays are called crepuscular rays (and when they are dispersed up from the sun they are anti-crepuscular rays). Now you can really impress someone with your knowledge of meteorlogical terminology!

Darn, I missed a picture I knew! (started a new job last week and spent the week before soaking in the last of my summer vacation) I don't really have a clue about the most recent one but I'll guess the queue of the Liberty Belle.

Great update of AKL! I have to stay there sometime. It is so beautiful and looks super relaxing and quiet. May have to try out Sanaa as well!

I've read a previous trip report of yours and loved it so I am so happy to see another one in progress!

Congratulations on your beautiful wedding! I'm glad to see you guys did the tea ceremnoy; we did too and alot of the my parents and grandparents generation were so happy that we did, they didn't want to ask for it but it was nice for it to still be acknowledged as a custom to them!

I can't wait to hear more of your trip!

I am going to guess: Columbia Harbor House.

You got it! It is Columbia Harbour House! Weak sauce point for you!

The resort is so large that exploring it is quite a feat!

Haha, thanks for sharing your science knowledge! Crepuscular ... crepuscular ... crepuscular ... crepuscular ... crepuscular ... crepuscular ... okay, hopefully I will remember it next time! I have to read something many times for it to stick for good.

Hopefully, you can play the next 3 rounds of Cropped! I think they're pretty easy in comparison to others I've posted.

I'm also going to say Columbia Harbor House, second floor on a wall.

Yup, it was Columbia Harbour House!

Great update of AKL! I have to stay there sometime. It is so beautiful and looks super relaxing and quiet. May have to try out Sanaa as well!

I'm so glad that you liked my other trip report and super happy that you've joined in for this one!

The tea ceremony took quite a lot of convincing once we were there. I'm glad we did it in the long run although it was kind of strange that it ended up being US trying to get THEM to do it even though it was for them in the first place! Haha.
